Brilliant read. That was some golden era. All of them are all time legends and never avoided each other like they do these days.

Ah Jesus no !!

A real hero of mine

A great book

Ah jaysus…RIP… what a hard man …used to love him when I was younger mainly because his shorts were the Dublin colours …that fight with Hearns was brutal…only went 4 rounds I think…after retiring I think he ended up living in France or Italy …

The first I heard of Hagler was when he boxed the ears off Alan Minter to win the world title in the early 80s. It was on in The Royal Albert Hall and shown on Sportsnight on a Wednesday night. Hagler won with an early TKO. Blood all over the shop. Minter’s fans were unimpressed and demonstrated their displeasure by raining beer bottles into the ring. Harry Carpenter was appalled on several counts.

Poor old Alan Minter died a few months back as well.

RIP Marvellous Marvin.

Fuck. What a golden age with himself Tommy Hearns, Sugar Ray and the hands of stones himself

He was also robbed

Sad news. As has been stated one of a great quartet who didn’t dodge the tough circuit.
An absolute warrior. The light of Heaven to him.

Some very sad news here today. Murray Walker RIP.

I’d say, that at your peak, you’d have given him a fair rattle.:boxing_glove: :boxing_glove:

RIP Marvelous Marvin Hagler, Sugar Ray Leonard the only man he fought and didn’t beat(controversially).

Uppercut incoming.

He never got the respect he deserved. He was a bit unlucky in that he was around the same times as 3 other legends.

A great, great fighter. Could box, could punch, switch stances, could press forward, could fight going backwards. One of the best ever.

Damn you 2021
