All credit to Dom McKay - only a few weeks in the job and he managed to find Duduâs number on the Rolodex Pete left behind.
CELTIC have joined the race for ÂŁ3.5million Israeli winger Liel Abada.
The 19-year-old is poised to quit Maccabi Petah Tikva for a big-money transfer abroad.
Belgian and French clubs have already made offers for the frontman, with Greek side Olympiacos also keen.
But Israeli sources last night claimed Celtic have now entered the running to land the teen sensation.
Abada, who is just 5ft 6in, stood out for Petah Tikva last season as they finished fifth in the league.
He scored 12 goals and almost joined Dinamo Kiev in January before the transfer broke down.
Abada made his Israel debut against Montenegro in June and has been given the green light to quit his club.
Reports in his homeland claim he has now left the country to hold talks with interested parties.
Itâs understood Israeli agent Dudu Dahan has been given a mandate by Petah Tikva to secure a transfer.
He has worked closely with Celtic before on deals for Nir Bitton, Efe Ambrose, Beram Kayal and Ismaila Soro.
New boss Ange Postecoglou has admitted he urgently wants to sign a winger in this transfer window.
The Aussie favours a 4-3-3 formation, but he needs more options in the wide areas as he plots a rebuild.
James Forrest, Mikey Johnston and youngsters Karamoko Dembele and Owen Moffat are currently in his squad.
But Scotland star Forrest has yet to feature in pre-season after being forced to isolate due to being a Covid close contact.
Johnston is just back after an injury-hit campaign, while Postecoglou wonât want to place too much pressure on the other two.
Speaking last week, he said: âWe have a lack of depth in areas. You look at centre-back, wingers and at right-back.â
Despite being only 19, Abada has picked up decent experience for Petah Tikva, playing over 70 first-team games, and was promoted to the senior national side after just five Under-21 outings.
Abada replaced Israel star Manor Solomon in the Petah Tikva side when he moved to Shakhtar Donetsk for ÂŁ5m in 2019.
His style has been likened to the tiny winger, who is now being eyed by Arsenal.
Abada normally plays on the right but can operate on the left or through the middle.
Celtic face a race against time to register any new players for next weekâs Champions League opener with FC Midtjylland.
The Uefa deadline is July 15, but quarantine restrictions will also complicate matters for foreign signings.
Rubin Kazanâs Swedish defender Carl Starfelt emerged as a target last week, but the Russian club have yet to accept a bid.
Celtic are also aware of Rennes full-back Brandon Soppy, but face fierce competition from France.
And Bologna are in no rush to sell the Hoopsâ other defensive target, Aaron Hickey.
