Celtic Transfer Window Summer 2021

Saddled with that useless fucker for 3 years. Give me strength.

Heā€™s probably the highest earner at the club too.

A million quid transfer fee and lets conservatively say 500kpa wages. Thatā€™s two million quid plus extras gone on a lad who was ropey five years ago and will be 36 by then.
I know age is not an insurmountable barrier, but still.

A million quid? FFS Spurs should be paying them a million quid to get him off their books

3 years :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Weā€™re going to be looking for another keeper in January and then we have a leech on the wage bill. I canā€™t get over how anyone this a remotely sensible move. Iā€™d stick with Barkas over this if Iā€™m perfectly honest.

Here we go

Ā£15k a week

Vickers off Spurs being mentioned as well.

What do we reckon on McCarthy?

It only took getting knocked out of the CL to sign a few players

15k a week isnā€™t too much. 3 years seems about right for a keeper of his age. Didnā€™t like him but heā€™s inevitably a big upgrade.

McCarthy
Scales
Buta
Hart

Bodies in at least

Vickers, Lovric and one or two strikers presumably?

Afolabi gone out on loan to Ayr Utd, clearly not going to make it

Was hoping he would come to rovers

Learning off the Goat Gaffney would have done the world of good for him alright

The Record

Celtic are still looking to bring in Tottenhamā€™s Cameron Carter-Vickers.

The US international is a target but he has made it clear that if he leaves Spurs then he wants it to be on a permanent basis.

A loan deal with a Ā£5 million option to buy still remains a live option.

And midfielder James McCarthy would consider a move to his boyhood heroes, with the Republic of Ireland cap out of contract after leaving Crystal Palace.

The 30-year-old would consider a move back to Scotland for family reasons but any deal would need to be right as he has options in the English Premier League and Championship.

Is he really? On what grounds?

Weā€™ll have Bain back in goals by November lads.

I canā€™t fathom out how anyone thinks this is a good move or even an upgrade on the two diddies we have now.

The young Aberdeen right back Ramsay looks a prospect. He played for me with Celtic in Football Manager and was a steady player.

But we can pay an absolute dud in his mid 30s Ā£15k a week and offer him a 3 year deal?

We can pay one of Desmondā€™s other clubs a league record fee for a player with a year left on his contract.

But we canā€™t pay a very promising right back a decent wage?

Give me strength.

On the grounds of whatā€™s there already.
If heā€™s in good nick and switched on, JH could be an excellent signing tbh, though I still think we could have found better value elsewhere, and itā€™s a classic recent Celtic era hit and hope

What evidence is there that heā€™s in good nick or switched on?
