Youā€™re dropping Rogic?

I presume now that the links with Wolf were fairly concrete as McGree seems like a very similar profile to him but for financial, tactical or Ange preferring McGree we opted for him over Wolf.

Hard to see what future McCarthy has here. Weā€™ve added in three midfielders this window and he was already struggling for game time.

I think so but Rogic is a great option to have. I think certainly in the big games we could do with someone with more energy and dynamism when we are out of possession. Iā€™m hoping for a big second part of the season now as I think a lot of the issues we had early on was a midfield that contained 2 of Bitton/Rogic/Turnbull who donā€™t really have the legs and in Bitton and Turnbullā€™s case donā€™t seem able to move the ball on fluidly enough and always want more touches.

Iā€™m very excited and particularly with the likes of Jullien and Giakoumakis and a few others back in the fold.

Hard not to feel sorry for Dudu Dahan in this new setup. Heā€™s not getting a look in.

is there a kink in mcgree that he has moved about so much and not really played that many games anywhere?

Technically speaking Celtic would only be the fourth team that owned him. He made his breakthrough with Adelaide, was signed by Brugges who farmed him out on loan, was bought by Charlotte but the club were biding their time until they joined the MLS so he was loaned out in the meantime. Heā€™s also only just gone 23.

is that not a lot for a 23 year old? he has never had more than 30 games in a season too Has he disciplinary or injury issues?

He has a very unusual profile

Seems to be a real lack of height in that team, Iā€™d have thought at least one of the midfield would need to be useful at defending set pieces.

Dudu Dahans Japanese equivalent meanwhile.

Surely itā€™s better to say fourth club heā€™s been employed by.

Well itā€™s a 26 game league in Australia so thatā€™s going to restrict it.

And joining an expansion franchise in the MLS meant he had to go on loan. Heā€™s currently the joint record appearance holder for Charlotte FC at the age of only 23.

I think it unlikely that all the Japanese players will be as successful, but youā€™d never know.
Iā€™d generally prefer a player like Rogic to start, but what t f do I know šŸ¤·

they split into a playoffs then donā€™t they? he seems to be a regular at Birmingham this year but itā€™s still an unusual profile for a player

Rogic and Turnbull are big guys but neither are much use defending set plays anyway.

Ralston, CCV and Jullien are very good in the air. McGree could be better in the air than Rogic/Turnbull too.

Maybe so, but Iā€™d expect most SPL sides to be fairly optimistic about being a threat against a side as vertically challenged as that. Be interesting to see if Ange can make it work.

We would have probably have had a similar enough problems under Rodgers.

Can be easily accounted for by bringing in a Bitton/Scales/Giakoumakis for one of the short arses if we were that way worried but I think weā€™d hope to win a gun battle with any side now domestically.

The wee guy looks quality, reminds me so much of Insigne.
