Iāve never heard the term āInternationalistā to refer to an international footballer.
But if he is an internationalist, he should be a sound bloke.
Signing on bonus would have netted him circa ā¬640,000 and ā¬18,000 a week would be another ā¬936,000 so he wouldnāt be far off it !
Ignoring tax but heās probably a millionaire alright. Multi millionaire I doubt and going to Saudi would be a gamechanger for him in that regard
Tax and agents cut. Talk of the oil money being a life changing sum for lads like Benzema or Ronaldo is nonsense as they have already more made than they could ever spend, but for fellas like Jota it genuinely would be.

He would be lucky to have Ā£2.5m to his name at the end of a contract like that when tax and agent fees are taken out. Better situation than most lads heading into his 30s, but itās a long way from there to gathering the pension. If he signs this contract in Saudi he will never need to think about money again.

Linked with this young Swiss chap. Some talk that Hatate has also received a big Saudi offer, as exclusively referenced by @starryplough last week. Celtic must be trying to extract as much as they can from the crowd that are after Jota. No sign of an official announcement but all reports saying personal terms are agreed.

So thatās Holm, Tilio & possibly Hyun. A midfielder & 2 wide players & all 3 seem to be based on that business model of signing potential from untapped markets. But if, as reported, Rodgers wants to have a tilt at Europe & more funds are being made available than before then I expect to see some more first-team guaranteed / established player signings. Letās see what happens.
