Plenty of gaps in our defence early on.
Nothing happening in midfield. Ntcham has been wasteful. Edouard needs to link the play more instead of trying to beat his man every time the ball is played up to him.
Gamboa with a crazy pass there and lets his man just wander in behind a minute later.
This is a fairly dreadful start.

Really poor half from Celtic.
No possession and haven’t created anything or taken the sting out of their attacks.
And far from convincing at the back. Gordon, Hendry, Gamboa and Ajer have all made errors, particularly Gamboa and Hendry. But even just the shape is shit. They’ve had a few crosses that have allowed lads to take a few touches in the box before anything resembling a challenge.
Bit of a turn up to see perennial Champions League last 16 fodder Basel turning into fodder in a qualifying round. They’re getting thrashed 3-0 at home by PAOK Salonika. 5-1 on aggregate.

I’ve read a bit from “in the know” Celtic online supporter types who say the coaches at Celtic rave about Hendry and think he can become an outstanding player based on what he’s shown behind the scenes so far. But he’s looked very naive in most of his appearances so far. Thought he was very uncertain in the first half.
Agreed. It was more of a general malaise but he doesn’t look sharp and he is second to a lot of balls. There was even one ball that hit him in the face in the box off Gamboa and it was because he was just walking over towards the back aimlessly.
Much better there. Edouard really close.
Brilliant play by Edouard. Now he’s definitely going to be some player.
