Champions League Round of 57odd

The sporting thing to so would be to admit they were beaten (Hammered) by a much better team and decline the forfeit.
It’s clear cut.

Playing a “suspended” player is a match forfeit and 3-0 win to the opposition.

Playing an “ineligible” player (e.g. registration error) allows for fines and other less severe punishments.

But this is the first instance in practice.

Imagine how the chap who missed the two penalties in the first leg feels.
I still feel that even if Warsaw had Messi playing in drag, Celtic were beaten fair and square over 2 legs and to dispute that is too overlook the new managers limitations and that of the playing squad as a whole. A serious look at where the club is going forward is needed imo.

@chewy louie, permission to change my username to Bartosz Bereszynskiego if the ruling goes in Celtic’s favour in the morning?

I agree with everything you posted, pal.

But I’m looking at precedent and it’s forfeit all the way irrespective of all that. Rules are rules and have traditionally been enforced.

I see Sweden defeated San Marino 6-0 in an U21 qualifier in 2004 but San Marino were awarded a 3-0 victory after the Swedes were found to have played a suspended player.

There’s plenty of club examples too, aside from @Rocko 's example. Celtic are hardly going to make a gesture of waiving Legia’s punishment in all fairness if those UEFA bastards rule that our really shit team should advance.

Sure thing, Bartosz

Yeeeeeesssssss.

All eyes on Nyon now.

A decision is expected in the next 10 minutes…

No action taken against Legia. Thanks to UEFA for having mercy on Celtic and not keeping them in the Champions League.

I won’t be going to the Europa League qualifier in protest at this decision.

CHANGED!"

Scrub that…Legia have been kicked out!

INCREDIBLE SCENES!

Anyone got a video of Calum McGregor’s crucial goal which decided the tie?

We are The Celtic:clap::clap:

@Rocko - please edit the username of @Dirty Hands Walter accordingly

No Celtic, No Champions League

Pity all the poor fuckers who left early and weren’t there to see the late substitution that changed the game.

+1. Do it this instant, @Rocko.

Done.
