Clare Gaa 🐐 Thread mark II

His hurling has really improved. Looked very confident in his striking today and really attacks the ball. He could be a beast when he fills out.

Classic GAA stewarding

“They tried to explain it was Tony Kelly, to which the steward replied he knew who he was but he still wasn’t getting in. “The steward recommended that Kelly try the other side of the stand but said he certainly wasn’t getting in on his side.

Conor Ryan taking a year out due to unspecified medical reasons according to Club Clare.

Had a hormone illness/issue last year. Talk is that he may never play again, even at club level due to it

That’s a shame. Very good player.

Cork 0-2 Clare 0-00 after 17 now. Tubs just wide with a free there. Missing Gary again on our own kickouts and to break through a deep-lying Cork defence, Jamie Malone has been quiet too. Have come into it more the last ten minutes though.

Clare goal, draw game.

Goal for Clare, scrambled in by Cian O’Dea. Ciaran Russell drove along the endline, bottled up and went to ground looking for a free. Sexton jabbed up the loose ball and squared it for the tap-in.
Just missed a second goal there :persevere:

Clare 1-2 Cork 0-5 halftime. Donnacha O’Connor (hamstring) just replaced by Colm O’Neill. Cork with the breeze for the second half.

Skies have opened here at halftime. Ref and his two linesmen standing out in it like eejits while the teams stay dry :smirk:
David Egan replaces Cian O’Dea. Shane Brennan with the first score of the half.

Clare 1-5 Cork 0-6 ten mins in. Cleary had a great goal chance saved when clean through. Wind has dropped dead altogether.

Sounds like it will be a long day for the hurlers

Clare 1-8 Cork 0-7 after 20 mins. Tubs leaves a free short. Cork go down the field and goal after a great Hayes save and scramble, but it’s disallowed :grimacing:
