Depends what you mean by highly rated?
He is very effective as a man marker as he is quick, has a great engine and is sticky as fuck. He isn’t a lad that is going to hurl a lot of ball or do much aside from his main job.
He doesn’t really standout at club level and I was surprised when he got the call up but he has been excellent since coming into the Clare team in the spring of last year after a strong Fitz campaign and has blotted out a number of proven quality I/C forwards since breaking into the side. I’d be much happier with him starting for Clare than Gudgie the next day.
