Club Championships 2010

Slagging yourself off there Runty are ya?

I’m one of these industrious non scoring forward types.

The Runt scores 1 point per game. Nothing more, nothing less

Your a converted corner back so is what your saying.

One point runty

You should have a chat with Tony Carmody. He’d make twice the player of you.

10th Feb 2010
14:00 Galway/Mayo I.T v UCC 13/2 12/1 1/14

14:00 Limerick I.T v Waterford I.T 1/5 10/1 7/2

14:00 D.I.T v Cork IT 15/8 9/1 4/9

14:00 UCD v NUI Galway 2/7 10/1 11/4

No real value there by the looks of it…NUIG and DIT might be worth small bets but wouldn’t have too much confidence in either to beat their opposition but I expect them, to give good accounts of themselves

Puke id be havin a cut off WIT at these odds. crazy for a two horse race

I wouldn’t to be honest, just can’t see where WIT are going to get their scores from, LIT have an excellent set of tight physical backs who won’t give up too many handy scores

I dunno, the fat one is in good form lately.

There FF line of Hammersley,Grehan and Ray Mc if givin the ball can do damage. Remember last last yr? now i know LIT are a better outfit and have Cooney back there this year. A lot of people are dismissing WIT because of their lack of ‘big names’ but what they do have is experience at Fitz level and have Beaten LIT in LIT before, which is not the easiest thing to do. LIT will prob win but at 7/2 id have to throw a sneaky score on WIT.

What sort of fallen giants are in Intermediate?

Mick Kavanagh getting the chance to add to his impressive haul of medals this weekend-an all-ireland club medal in his sights.

Does he have to wear the helmet due to this being last years comp?

Junior or Intermediate? Who’s his club?

Group 1- Na Piarsaigh, Athea, Hospital/Herbertstown, Mungret, Mountcollins, Cappamore

Group 2 - Galtee Gaels, Bruff, Croom, Galbally, Oola, Gerald Griffins

Athea were always strong at the football. Been up and down in recent years can’t seem to stay up there.
Mungret were in a senior final this decade I think.
Cappamore would’ve been senior for a good while.
Croom have some great footballers.
But the big three of fallen giants would be Galbally, Oola and Gearld Griffins.
Galbally and Oola would be traditional strongholds of the GAA outside of the west and would’ve supplied the county with a good few over the years. Griffins were the top dogs for a while in the 90’s were a poor intermediate team the last time I saw them.

Glin are another, down junior now. Would’ve been senior in the last 15 years.

The Runt has often been substituted after 3 minutes when he has beaten 3 defenders and kicked a point from 60 yards, all because they know thats him finished for the day.

Runt always leaves em wanting more

Intermediate, club is St Lachtans(Freshford), lucky enough to beat South Liberties in the semi.

St Lachtains have a fairly handy outfit with knacky forwards like Eoin Guinan,Bill Beckett and the incredibly fit, sharp and fast 34 year old Ollie O Connor they are well capable of hitting St Galls for 3 goals in space like Croke Park, the backs are sound eneogh keeper might be a little shaky though,St Galls are probably going in as favourites but im reckoning St Lachtains will win it,space will suit the forwards.

Does/did that Beckett lad hurl for UCC in the last few years link???
