Townies

Serious issues in Douglas with nepotism, politics etc

They’ll need to poach a few defenders for next year

I don’t think they poached anyone.

But they have the reverse issue most people have. Putting a defensive system in there should not be too hard.

This is a terrible result. Killeagh are really inly hanging in there

Cian Mac and Shane Bourke just went on their own so?

Ah but Douglas must be fair soft.

I hear there’s a few of them drowning their sorrows in the bar of the Rochestown Park as we speak.

If they were any good they’d be inside in Charlie’s.

They both approached douglas. Now of course there is friendly encouragement and have friends there and saw an opportunity etc, but so what.

The days of putting up with bullshit club carry on is nearing an end.

Listen fella, you have no credit left with anyone here that saw your carry on last week.

Whatever insecurity you have, whatever reflection you see in me or whatever jealousy you have i suggest you go get it sorted. Seriously, you have a kid. Grow the fuck up you waste of space and stop following me around like a jilted lover.

Crossmaglen beaten by Maghera tonight.

They aren’t out but my god what’s going on @Nembo_Kid?

Is there now a composite Armagh/Derry championship or do you mean Armagh county champions Maghery?

Cross have had quite a few scares over the years in the earlier rounds.

Maghery won the Championship last year and are a decent side.

I’d still expect Cross to win it out.

The empire is crumbling.

They’d want to get their act together.

Didn’t they only win the first round by a point?

Surely the O’Neills x2 should be making them better

Laois Championships reaching end game.

Laois Shopping Centre Senior Football Championship Quarter Finals
Portarlington v Arles-Killeen
Portlaoise v O’Dempsey’s
Graiguecullen v St Joseph’s
Ballylinan v Killeshin
Laois Shopping Centre Senior Football Championship Relegation Final
Arles-Kilcruise v Mountmellick Gaels

Portlaoise rammed Dempseys 2 rounds back, and will no doubt pump them again to reach the semi final. They’re a much changed team this year, and look angry.
Portarlington are young and look lively, they’ll take stopping.
Killeen are Donie and Paul Kingston and little else, but when you have a Donie you don’t need much else.
Graigue and Joes should be tight, Graigue are the eternal conundrum, should be better, but full of soft windy townie cunts, and Carlow townie cunts, no worse ones could you find. Paraic Clancy is over them this year, and seems like he has put some manners on them. They’ll no doubt implode eventually though.
Ballylinan and Killeshin could go either way. Ballylinan are doughty fuckers, and have forum favourite Gary Walsh in their ranks. Killeshin are a young, fast side, reknowned for winning Celebrity Bainisteoir a few years back.
Port, Portlaoise, Graigue and Killeshin to come through to the last 4 for me.

Stradbally slipped the relegation noose, beating a geriatric Kilcruise side who are depending on 40 year olds and Ross Munnelly. Sad to see, they have nothing coming through and look like dropping through the grades now. The Arles thing continues to drag on. They play Mountmellick in the relegation final. I wouldnt risk a bet on that.

Laois Shopping Centre Intermediate Football Championship Semi Finals
Timahoe v Emo
Rosenallis v Portlaoise or The Rock

It looks like the winner of the IFC will come from the Timahoe v Emo semi final. Emo came down last year, while Timahoe came down 3 years ago, and despite a wealth of intercounty experience have humorously managed to fail each time to get back up. Ruairi O Connor scored 5-7 (FIVE-SEVEN!) in the last round for them, and they look bothered, but Emo should have enough for them.
The other semi final sees last years favourite side Rosenallis (of 2017 Leinster Junior Club football and hurling provincial finals claim) take on the winners of Portlaoise or The Rock. Portlaoise have a host of Senior medal winners in their ranks, yet nearly slipped up against The Rock only to snatch a draw. Wont matter who comes out on this side you’d feel, Emo or Timahoe should do for them.

Laois Shopping Centre Senior Hurling Semi Finals
St Lazerians Abbeyleix v Clough Ballacola
Borris in Ossory Kilcotton v Camross
The hurling semi finals sees Camross take on reigning champions Borris Kilcotton. BK look in seriously ominous form this year, and shouldn’t be stopped. Camross generally laugh at such notions and fear no one [Limerick GAA©]. Still you’d fancy BK to come out of this one.
The other semi final sees surprise packages Abbeyleix take on Clough Ballacolla. BK hockeyed CB in the second round, only to see CB raise a gallop and knock perennial champions Rathdowney Errill on their holes in the quarter final. Nobody saw that coming, but with the Willies Dunphy and Hyland, CB will always be a force, even without cruciate victim Picky Maher. Abbeyleix are a wonderfully run club who have overhauled their hurling structures from ground up and have a very young side coming up, with plenty more behind them. Might be a bit early, they depend on former Laois goalie Eoin Reilly for 90% of their scores, and current Laois goalie Enda Rowland for long range frees that are out of Eoin’s reach. Could do with a forward or two to make the next level.

Laois Shopping Centre Senior “A” Hurling Semi Finals
Ballyfin Gaels v The Harps
Colt Gaels v Rosenallis
The Senior A sees forum favourites Rosenallis (the cunts are at it again!) take on Colt Gaels, while on the other side, relegated The Harps will face yo-yo side Ballyfin. That second semi final should provide the winners you’d feel.

But that’ll be it in Laois for a fortnight or so now, as there will be no Championship games next weekend, to allow all players go get off their faces at the Electric Picnic, HURRAH!

Oh and here Ruairi O Connor scoring 5 goals in 30 minutes for Timahoe in the Laois IFC quarter final. Courtwood probably should have given some consideration to trying another player on him at some point.

Didn’t this same club owe €6.5m not so long ago? I assume Ewan will be applying his financial doping lens to their set up.

They paid for it themselves.

Whats the problem with that?

They did. However, and far be it for me to be sticking up for those shower of shites, did you read the article?

Exactly. In fact the players, (the cunts), have been very good throughout the entire financial clusterfuck, paying for their own coaches and any additionals required due to the financial restraints. Each player would cough up a set amount weekly to their training fund. Obviously this is common enough in many other financially restrained sports, but not in the GAA. Credit where its due, the cunts.

The managers brother owns a few places in La Rochelle as well, so I presume there was savings made that way.

do they still owe the 6.5 million?
