Club Championships 2017

I have no idea and i do not give a fuck either

No

A bit of this. A bit of that. Its quite a fluid concept.

In a totally unrelated matter, the new Laois COE on their former grounds is coming on splendidly.

being built by a former Wexford intermediate hurler

I thought it was locals doing the work, who else in involved? I know they’ve been down to Ferns once or twice. There is a new GDA from Wexford in as well.

:grinning:

No it’s Colm Byrne from rathnure who got the contract. There was a local involved at tender stage but best price talks. Yeah gda started there last month. From Tipp. Sound fella.

No, I mean there a GDA working in Laois from Wexford, a Hally chap I believe.

Yeah Peter Halley. He’s from Tipp. Was in wexford the last couple of years.

Ah. That makes sense, I’d heard differing stories about where he was from.

Given that the GAA has historically had such huge ties to the Catholic church, it’s nice to see Protestants now being catered for too.

Leix borders Kilkenny so it’s probably not surprising that there’s so many of them around there.

But why a COE instead of a COI?

Ballyea beaten by Newmarket in Clare.

Last year’s Intermediate Champions Pomeroy dumped last year’s Senior Champions Killyclogher out in the first round in Tyrone last night.

Gone ?

Yeah. Sixmilebridge hammered Cratloe, Clooney-Quin bate Eire Og. Tulla-Clonlara today

How did Tony Kelly go ?

He had a penalty saved late on that would have closed the gap to two points but don’t know apart from that

I think TK will benefit from not seeing a hurling until next February .

Fitzgibbon commitments next I suppose. All the Ballyea lads need a break anyway

Foul or no foul?
