Cahair going to bat there for his beloved Ulster teams. As youâd say yourself, they are fundamentally useless which is the real problem

They are the best team in the Senior B on paper. As they were last year.
They have won all their games so far this year but not in an impressive manner. The word on the ground is that their manager is not flavour of the month with lads playing in spite of him rather than for him
They should get promoted here with the finalists going up. However I would not be surprised at all if Castleknock, Raheny or Isles catch them in the semi final or final.

This Dublin Hurling Round Robin has been going on forever.
It must be the Championship that takes longest across both codes in the country.

6 dates is all. Its the 2 week break at the start of August (so the fixtures secretary can go on his poxy holidays) that stretches it out.

I recall being above in Portrush at the Open Championship and getting word of a big TFK punt on Whitehall Colmcille against Cuala in round one.
It feels like three summers ago now.

Walked all over them - was surprised at how poor Judes were
Was at it. Felt ye would win as ye played well the last two days and Judes didnât raise a gallop vs Lucan or Boden with hammerings. The 10 mins either side of ht were the winning of it. The main 3 guys in the middle 3rd stood up big time. I thought Gibson at corner back was excellent on Graham.
The 4 missed Judes frees in 3rd quarter really deflated them and they just gave up. No fight at all in them which is a real worry with a relegation playoff in two weeks.
Huge credit to all in Barrog. A very young outfit who should aim for knockout hurling going forward instead of staying up. Another scatter of young lads coming as well a mooted good transfer next year.
Its a good year regardless of what happens vs Crokes. Hopefully they can be competitive.

Extraordinary drama in the Oulart v Oylegate Senior prelim quarter-final last night. Billy Dunne rescued Oulart with a late goal in normal time before Jim White repaid the favour for Oylegate at the end of ET. Eoin Moore struck the winning penalty for Oulart in the end. Oylegate play the losers of Glynn-Barntown and Crossabeg-Ballymurn in the senior relegation final.
The intermediate grudge match between Fethard and HWH Bunclody is level at 1-9 each at half-time. Hopefully the referee keeps a tab on the score this yearđ Blackwater and Horeswood has finished 4-18 apiece and is extra-time bound. A lot riding on that too as the loser is in a relegation final. Seems that Blackwater had a man sent-off in normal time but are back to 15 now. Andrew Shore has just goaled to put Horeswood in front.

Trillick dug it out by four points 1-16 to 0-23 and all credit to them for that but these two pointers are a joke.
However Dungannon kicked only four wides and Trillick just three. Superb standard of shooting you wonât find anywhere else.

Rarely has high scoring a match been seen in Ulster club football. A true testament on Gavin and co for revolutionising what was becoming the one of the worst spectator sports around.

Fethard won well in the end. Exacting revenge on Bunclody. Tara Rocks and Horeswood won too so itâs a Gusserane v Blackwater relegation final in intermediate. Glynn-Barntown edged out Crossabeg-Ballymurn by a point to consign the latter to a parish derby relegation final with Oylegate.
Carnew beat AGB by a point in Wicklow to advance to their first senior football final in about 50+ years.
