Anyone ever try that 3fe stuff? They are on Grand Canal Street. Found it bland enough

The hipsters love it. They have another place near Burlington.

It’s grand but hyped to fuck.

3 fuckin euro!!!

I think the 3fe beans in the bag are very good, at least on a par with the top Irish toasted beans, I’m an espresso or short black drinker myself, depends on the machine or brewing method in most cases,
I’ve a couple of bags here

What’s the strongest whole beans you’ve come across?

Got a nice selection from West Cork coffee last week but none of them are very strong. I’d like to chance one close to tar

It’s savage. I’ve a lovely little ritual around it these mornings… The taste of salt still lingering after my early morning swim, I’ll dip my nose into the bag of velo ground coffee and take it all in. A gentle rinse of the mokka pot and throw on radio 1 as the kettle is boiling. A few minutes idling around checking overnight updates on the NOGRA MS Teams Applications portal and the coffee starts to gently fill. Dobbo is grilling some poor cunt in the background as I take my first sip and kick off some gratitude journalling.

Great days. #sograteful

I’m just got one bag (momentum blend) that was already ground. I’m using a French press but find it a bit meh.

I always found the Badger and Dodo stuff to be very ‘strong’ when it’s served in a coffee shop, at home go for the max amount that you can fit, pour it a bit longer than usual, that’s from a machine, a moka pot is best though for really strong coffee

Try African beans, Ethiopian, Ugandan, Tanzanian, they’ve a different flavour to the more popular Americas stuff

Was it @artfoley who used like his coffee like his women

Bitter. Preferably Fair Trade.

What’s 3&4

I get a great sense of calm just reading that. I have some cunts in the Netherlands ruining the 8-9am part of my mornings at the moment with “status touchdown meetings”. Everyone should take time to throw on Morning Ireland for a few mins and touch base with the nation.

I’m sure that was @glasagusban

Anybody tried Little Collins Dispensary? Hemp products, CBD Melbourne style coffee. I know they have shops in Galway and Kilkenny.

Is there any one you’d recommend? To be honest I’m slow to pay €10 + for a bag of ground coffee when you can pick up the Velo for €4 in Aldi (it’s €5 plus delivery on their own site).

The velo coffee is excellent for the price. not top drawer though.
If i had to choose one brand over others with price as a consideration I’d look at the Badger and Dodo website, most of their stuff is under a tenner a 250g bag, you should treat yourself sometimes, you can buy B and dodo and also Old barracks coffee in the Habitat coffee shop in town, Canteen and Rift always have good coffee for sale as well

I regularly pass by Habitat when I’m working in town.
I’ll get a bag off him some day when I’m in.

Rift is the only place in town I find that I get a coffee that tastes superior to anywhere else.
