What happened to them?
I’m not exactly sure about the first one but it did pack up after nearly five years of heavy use. The second one is at the in laws and still works perfectly. They’re a grand machine but I’ve nothing to really compare them with bar the Nespresso, I’m sure other manufacturers are just as good.

Nothing lasts forever, 4 or more cups a day for 5 years isn’t a bad return from a 250 Euro machine.

The My Way one. Deals often on in electrical stores for it. Curry’s have it at €90 now. Amazon doing a deal on it now too.
Ffs Bandage. There’s no excuse for this sort of willful stupidity. Nespresso and tassimo,pod machines etc are specifically targeted at morons who don’t like the idea of drinking instant coffee but are too gormless to know the difference between coffee and synthetic chicory
If you don’t want a proper machine buy an aeropress, a moka pot or a French press- in that order.

I’m sorry- I.just wanted to.see you with a decent cup of coffee. The moka pot has a noble tradition, and there’s a degree of expertise, a finesse and a learning curve that will enrich.your life in a small way. Just understanding how it works will raise your level of consciousness.
The bialetti one posted by @Fagan_ODowd is a classic, but there’s a lot to be said for a stainless steel one…stellar do a.nice one
