Cork GAA 2014

Cadogan wing back and Walsh wing forward for the hurlers. If those two work out they’ll be big additions.

I think Cadogans only shot is as an enforcer at midfield helping out a Kearney or similar. Walsh should work out come summer ti

Something like that but I think wing back is the place for him, ye were lacking physicality there last year. Something like Bugler would have made a big difference for ye.

Continuing their policy of trying out players, Jimmy Barry Murphy and his selectors have made seven personnel changes for Sunday’s game. Anthony Nash returns between the posts, while Kilian Murphy comes in at corner-back in place of the injured Colm Spillane. The dual players are committed to hurling this weekend, and Eoin Cadogan starts at wing-back, with Lorcán McLoughlin moving to mid-field at the expense of Paul Haughney. Following a strong performance for CIT in the Fitzgibbon Cup, Eoin Keane gets a start at centre back, with Christopher Joyce on the bench. Daniel Kearney replaces Jamie Couglan at wing-forward, with Aidan Walshstarting on the other wing in place of Michael O’Sullivan, who picked up an injury with CIT. Seamus Harnedy moves to centre forward, while Conor Lehane returns from injury to replace Alan Cadogan who is on U21 Football duty. Stephen White is also on the injury list and wasn’t considered for selection.
Aidan Walsh and Eoin Cadogan return to the footballers for the game against Mayo on March 16th, and will be available to the hurlers again for the Wexford game on March 23rd.

Both teams look good.

I have not seen much of that 21 team obviously in 3-4 years but going on their progression to playing for UCC and the Seniors it looks a very strong squad. Looking forward to seeing McGuire who I believe has grown into himself. He was also pretty skilled for a long lanky lad, but if he keeps developing the way it seems he could be a star.

Hurling forward line has a nice balance to it.

How can you know so much about teams that you haven’t seen but yet you let on to know so much about?

  1. I saw the majority of these players as Minors, coached and even played against a few.
  2. Have seen them with last years U21’s, UCC this year and last and in some cases the Cork Seniors
  3. I regularly talk to people at home about the football
  4. I read reports on these players in their other guises
  5. I have a cousin on the team.

You’re struggling as you had to have 2 goes at the answer and forgot number 3 both times.

You’re a bluffing cunt. I don’t care what you say but I don’t believe it.

Don’t believe what? What’s there to believe (only that your weird insecurity about my ability to judge football)

Do you think you know more about this team than I do?
Do you think you know more about football?

What is it that grates you so much?
Is it that I use a collection of things to form an opinion and you only use the newspaper? What is it? You should talk about it.

i believe he is referring to the fact that you commented on both cork teams above. The fact you quickly, when challenged, retracted to the above football only position at least demonstrates you are starting to learn and take on board the necessary and public lessons you’ve been given on here during the summer and more recently on your extremely outdated and stupid position on the 3rd level colleges weekend tournament .

all in all an positive step forward for you, please continue and refrain from polluting the hurling topics with your fog horn (loud monotonous and nothing of value) approach

Well having a view on the senior hurling team considering their exposure is hardly questionable so I assumed he isn’t that stupid, hence I discussed the u21 football, which is largely what I had commented in anyway.

I’m surprised you have jumped on a Mac bandwagon though, Mac is a known bully (especially when drunk)and we all know now of your inability to stand up to bullies.

Anyway I’m happy to stand alongside fenway, Glas, Billy Morgan, Davy Fitz, Brian Cody, Anthony Daly, JBM, Nicky English and countless players in my outdated and stupid view on 3rd level competition.

Newspaper? What are you on about you deranged lunatic?

Ya I’m the deranged one alright. I think it was you came in here pissed looking for an argument and jumped in to quite an innocuous post for some bizarre rant.

poor perfromance yesterday going by the scoreline, they should be putting the yellowbellies to the sword, anyone at it, how did Keane play? and i guess Walsh and Cads also?

Offaly, the yellowbellies?

my bad, was reading about the Limerick game previously

Walsh and Keane apparently two of the best

Brian Murphy retired, that’s a loss for Cork.
