Yeah? I read Walsh scored 3pts from play which is an indication of a good performance. Posters on PROC seemed negative re his performance though
Did he require persuasion to play on in 2013?
Married with a baby. It’s a young mans game in terms of commitment. His comeback from a broken collar bone last year was remarkable. Big loss to Cork as he is best man marker in the game
Good win for the 21’s against Kerry going on experience there was no comparisiin between the teams but that may have a little to do with Kerry’s agreement to not play 21’s at Senior. But it was away so never an easy game
18 scores to 10 is convincing enough though.
@kerry1891 - what age is Steven O Brien? He didn’t really stand out too much up along. He was impressive against Mayo. What club is he? Kenmare?

Stephen O’Brien is from Kenmare. Did okay v Dublin in league as well. Havent a clue of his age. If a new forward is to make the Kerry team come the summer months, Conor Cox and Paul Geaney are viewed as more likely candidates.
Truly depressing result for Kerry tonight. Record against Cork at 21s is pathetic last 10 years.

Not a bit surprising though cork had a load of Sigerson and Senior players playing high level games in recent months, a less talented Kerry team locked themselves away for 3 months. If Daragh’s musings on football are anything to judge him on (only one dimension I realise) then I’d wonder about his coaching of a young team in this era. Mind you a coach can only do do much anyway.
I see a bit of pain to come, immigration and urbanization is hurting Kerry and cork are probably getting even more organized

A panel of 36 players with 6 injured. That could be a thread all of it’s own.
Fulignati is an interesting name for a cork halfback.

Mostly soft tissue injuries. Not surprising with the work loads at this time of the year and the heavy ground. But it is a note able and interesting observation.
Cork “took chances” on a couple of players against Kerry, mostly lads playing Senior (so obviously handy) who are now injured. It’s easy to understand why a coach would do that (Cork playing Kerry) but you have to wonder are they thinking completely of the players. Playing very important games (even though it’s league some lads were making their debut for Cork or trying to nail a squad places) like NFL, Sigerson and Kerry U21 in a short space of every 4-7 days is tough going.

one of them got his jaw broken off the ball playing for this team. It would be harsh to be dropping lads that have picked up injuries while playing for cork
you have said this a few times at this stage and you clearly can`t remember the players you named on the list. otherwise you would be too embarrassed to be bringing it up.
i will remind you of the players you said would become top notch intercounty hurlers three years ago when i was pointing out that cork werefcuked underage. I even offered to name a player for every cork player you named and give reasons why they were going to be great players
darren Sweetnam
brian hartnett
jamie wall
ross cashman
jamie nagle
nickey kelly
plus ciaran sheehan and aidan walsh
you also guffawed loudly about the idea that clare would be as good as cork in the next ten years.
you have been living off that exchange for a good while and i have had a decent laugh at it a number of times considering what was actually said as against what you think happened.
this head stagger was in response to this exchange

Not bad at all considering some of the young talent we have below this.
i replied.
conor lehane and…
am i wrong in thinking that the last successful cork underage team cork had was the 07 minors who beat tipp and the best hurler on that team was aidan walsh at right half back who has gone a different way since (despite not actually being able to kick the football within 20 yards of where he wants it to go)

Jamie Wall looks a decent prospect.
he isn`t bad but he is overage for under 21 as far as i know so he would want to get on with it
As far as you know? o_O
Yes. Is it a difficult concept for you that I am not 100 per cent certain
No it means you haven’t seen him so don’t know your arse from your elbow.
one of the great pleasures of discussion board life is the irrational rage that one can inspire in complete strangers
No rage, just you being an idiot.
