Cork GAA 2014

What about him.

Just asking. Italian?

Nemo Rangers, pal.

Its an Italian name but as far as I know he is third generation Irish or something. Decent player who seems to be highly rated by his underage coaches but from what I have seen of him he looks short in terms of senior inter-county. Usually plays in the backs, not midfield.

Seemed an unusual move with such a plethora of midfielders in that group, at least 5 guys play Senior club football at midfield, must have been a particular marking role, still waiting to see the game.
I saw decent highlights of the other 2 finals. Learned nothing more about Dublin to be honest, pace, power an a couple of class finishers. However Meath can be very hopeful from what I saw. Physicality will even out as they get older and they lost at least 5 points to just being blown out of it, but they have some classy players, all 3 of the full forwards looked good, especially O Brien and Wallace.

Rosscommon also look like they’ll be well able for Cork. Maybe it wa Leitrim being small but they looked huge an are very well coached by the looks of it, worked scores very well around a mass defense.

Afaik Fulignati was listed at midfield, but played at half-back with Killian O’Hanlon actually at midfield. I think anyway, not 100%. TBF Fulignati is big and rangy so he might be there.

It’s been a while since I saw him, didn’t seem overly big back along and was often corner back

4 Ballinora players, great for them to win an All Ireland on CP. They won the Cork A grade as well.
To be honest, there was little difference in the 2 grades. Maghera were awful to watch, dreadful dreadful defensive shite. You could hear them calling break the line etc. a lot of rugby influence and a heap of over developed players. Great to see Dingle win with a normal bunch of teenager’s. Delighted for Fotzmaurice too who is clearly a dry good coach but may not be remembered as such due to the timing of his arrival with Kerry. A win for football that one, while remembering it has nothing to do with North-South, just that Maghera side in particular.

Squeaky bum time. Dubs on top now.

Great game.

Ref gave Dublin an outrageous free to set up the leveller.

However Dublin deserve the win, much better last 25 from them.

Cork in a good place though, major progress, loads to work on.

Shocking over carrying frees against cork. Dublin pushing men down on the ground is a free to cork. Dubs get away with it a lot.

A choke of cataclysmic proportions, far outstripping Greg Norman’s foal to Faldo on this night (Masters) all those years ago.
Fucks sake man, this post of yours is borderline delusional. A 17 point collapse in 30 minutes against an average enough Dublin team that included, for large parts,
luminaries such as O’Gara, McManamon, Reddin and Byrne.:frowning:

Ah it’s not good, but it’s no harm for a dose of reality too. Andrew o Sulluvan disappeared and was shown clearly not to be up to this standard. Cahalane, Hurley and Mark Collins all showed a lot of naivety in their play in the 2nd half and they will be all the better for it. Paddy Kelly will have realised there is more to centre back than attacking. But for 50 mins Corks tackling was the best I have ever seem it, they ran out of steam, Dublin are ahead of them in fitness and familiarity.

As a supporter I’m still very happy with where Cork are, compared to last year. Another 2-3 months work and they’ll close that gap.

There is still massive inconsistencies in them, but management will have learned a lot yesterday.

I don’t think Cork will win AI this year and I never have, but they’ll have a very good year and set themselves up to win two over the next couple of years.

But you’re gone way over the top there.
