Is Micheál Martin a relation of Micheál Martin?
They are certainly a Nemo family with a strong GAA background, but I’m not 100%
It’s his son.
Unmarkable at that level it seems. Nearly unmarkable at 21 county as well
Apparently Sugrue got 11 or so points recently as well, for Carbery I assume. Will be interesting to see what happens with Cadogan after the U-21 championship, everyone assuming he will a dual player like big brother. Ian Maguire will surely be called up to the seniors as well soon.

Going by tonights game Aidan Walsh hasn’t a hope of getting on the championship 15. He was shocking
What sport/match was that?
Cork/Limerick in Charleville. Apparently Walsh got 1-2. Conor Sul, Killian Burke, Eoin Keane, Brian Hartnett, Rob O’Shea and Bill Cooper all played. Cork won 3-20 to 3-17.

Mickee, whats the story with your Histon? Is he hurling or football first?
Midleton CBS back in the Rice Cup final. Third final in four years I believe?
F
Fourth
id say hurling , then soccer, then football
Whats the record like? 1-2? Thought Charleville CBS won it last year.
Thurles won it in 2013, Midleton CBS in 2012 and Clonmel CBS in 2011. ASL and Templemore in other semi, the latter are suppose to be very good.
Ah right. Charleville won the U-15 A Hurling this year, was thinking of that.
Aghada, St. Vincents and Dohenys all shifted huge hammerings at the weekend in the senior football championship. Looks like both of our club championships are turning into a joke.
All 3 had big turnovers this season, I met a Vincent’s lad out here who said there would be about 8 Junior players playing this year.
If the teams lose a few older lads now with the conditioning of the senior teams the gap gets huge. The gap for say a good 18-20 year old now to the established teams is gigantic. Senior club players in the big counties are now at a level Inter County was 3-4 years ago in terms of fitness and application.
Another thing is the black card. The running teams are getting te advantage of that if if anyone has not adjusted they are getting flogged. I’ve noticed big big beating in the leagues as well between teams that have adjusted faster. Eire Og and Grenagh beat Ballinora by a total of 24 points in recent weeks in the league, 14 and 10. I know all the footballer in these clubs well an there is not that much of a difference at all, in fact Ballinora are arguably the most talented, they just have not adjusted an trained to the new rules.
They are making a huge difference. Last week my team here lost 0-12 to 1-07 in a typical league type turgid game with plenty cynicism going unpunished. Yesterday we had a different ref and drew a game 2-18 to 3-15. It was an awesome game, but the ref used the black card an everybody changed.
I think a couple of clubs have been hit badly with player loss all of a sudden and the rules are also having an effect. It will sort itself out by next year.
the resurgence of schools hurling in regional schools is definitely a good thing (Loughrea, Middleton, Templemore, Shannon etc.) …but a school from a bigger town/city winning it (Ennis, Cork, Dublin, Limerick, Waterford, KK even) means little above good organization & focus in that school wrt hurling facilities…
