O Neil would be a loss

Ger Cunningham gone!!!

I told you all that two weeks ago

Not clear he is going to Limerick but even if he was talking to them his position was untenable.

O Leary, Kissane, Canty and O Neill already gone, now Sheehan is off to Carlton. That Cork football team is being decimated.

Goalkeeper Alan Quirke, gone now too.

Sheehan’s loss is a disaster for the footballers and ends any hope of All Ireland success over the short term. Hopefully this compromise rules crap will be ended for once and all and make it a small bit harder for the Aussie to cherry pick out the cream of the crop.

It’s very important to remember it’s Kerrman Tadgh Kenneally driving this.

You are right, Cork are gone for a while. Sheehan was the main man.

Too late, the door is open, we rolled out our best and brightest for years in the U17 version of this abomination, put our finest on a conveyor belt for them to pick off like at a deli counter. The lamp cannot be unrubbed, the genie will not go back into the bottle, anything that is happening now is merely an extension of what we done to ourselves.

Ha that U17 thing being shelved?
This is a knife through the heart of the Eire Og club. With Sheehan they were potential senior football and v strong intermediate hurling side. Without him they are at nothing for the next decade. At the v least they should be some sort of compensation package on offer to the clubs who lose their once in a lifetime type players. The GAA needs to crack down on the recruitment side of things.

Don’t think its been run for a few years now, thankfully. From a Laois point of view, it handed them Brendan Quigley and Colm Begley on a plate, and while both came back, it robbed us of Begley for a few years and it opened the door in Laois for Tuohy and Meredith to go for a wander too. Its tough on Cork, but devastating on a Club. Money will do fuck all to compensate, but it would be a gesture I guess.

With regards the GAA clamping down on recruiting, I don’t think its fair to do that or right to attempt it. Like I said, we opened the door, its hardly fair to try and prevent a young fella from taking up such an opportunity.

Eire Og aren’t related to a senior football team. They’ll be relegated in the league next year and won’t win Intermediate. Outside of the 4 Cork lads they are weak. They have a few Junior B players on that Intermediate team.

Comhairle Iar Bhunscoileanna Na Mumhan Under 18 ½ Hurling Fixtures

Rochestown 4-7 Nenagh CBS 1-10

Ardscoil Ris 2-24 St Flannans 1-10

Frank will have a plan lads. Sure didn’t he get yez to an AI final this year with a supposed shit set of hurlers?

disaster for ye Albert. Sheehan is a great player. It could be a double whammy. Aidan Walsh must be even more tempted to go with the hurlers now.

ah get out of the garden will you. What role had Tadhg Kenneally in signing up Colin Corkery, Michael Shiels, Setanta O’Hailpin , Aisake O’Halpin for aussie rules football? None whatsoever is the answer. Cork men have been signing up for aussie rules team for years. Maybe one of them might actually be some good at Australian Rules someday like Tadhg was. Most cork lads dont last too long out there so maybe Sheehan will be home soon. I hope he will be as he a fine gaelic footballer

Your “very important to remember” argument doesn’t stack up. Cork’s problems are of their own making not Tadhg Kenneallys. What is more important to remember is that he came home, destroyed yere best player Graham Canty in an all ireland final, won his all ireland medal and toddled on back to oz. Granted he should have been sent off in that final but that is another debate

It was mostly banter Kerry.

But seriously Kenneally is involved in any deal. Getting rid of Sheehan and sending Tommy home would be great business for Kerry. Tadgh’s way of repaying back the county for the face lost when he was acting the idiot in 09.

It was not banter. You made a stupid comment that you couldnt back up when challenged and are now passing off as banter. You didn’t go down the " its very important to remember " route if it was banter. Cork players have been heading to Aussie Rules for years ever before Kenneally had any influence as an agent. I wonder can he be implicated for Darren Sweetnam and Tomas OLeary going to rugby?

We may have lost face in 2009 with Tadhgie’s book. Cork lost as much allowing Kenneally rule the roost on the pitch. He was hardly on the receiving end of even a tough fair challenge for the whole game after his dirty tackle.
