Cork GAA 2014

Foresight and faith are not really your thing are they?
Loughrey is a top defender.
O Driscoll 20
Clancy 22/23

Galvin is older (maybe 26/27) but wa arguably left out in the cold for way too long despite being one if the best players at 21 level and easily the best and most consistent back in the county championship for a few years.

Everything needs Time.

Absolutely no one thinks Loughrey is a top defender bar you and Joe Brolly. The man looks good going forward but has absolutely no interest in tracking his man.

The Cork Intermediate Hurling team to play Galway in the All-Ireland Semi-Final at 2.45pm on Saturday at Tullamore will line out as follows:

 1. Richie Cunningham (Youghal)
 2. John O’Callaghan (Inniscarra - Captain)
 3. Alan Dennehy (Charleville)
 4. Brian O’Sullivan (Fermoy)

 6. Tadhg Healy (Buttevant)
 7. Cormac Murphy (Mallow)
 8. Nicky Kelly (Mayfield)
 9. Michael Walsh (Kildorrery)
 10. Colm Spillane (Castlelyons)
 11. Peter O’Brien (Kildorrery)
 12. Michael O’Sullivan (Tracton)
 13. Colm Casey (Inniscarra)
 14. John Cronin (Lisgoold)
 15. David Drake (Carrigaline)

 21. Mark Sugrue (Bandon)
 22. Ronan Crowley (Bandon)
 23. Anthony Spillane (Castlelyons)

Liam Hayes and his selectors have made two changes to the team that won the Munster title, with Brian O’Sullivan (Fermoy) replacing Barra Ó Tuama and Colm Spillane in for Jamie Wall, who loses out through illness.

Selectors: Liam Hayes (Dromina) - Coach,
Pat O’Connell (Delany’s)
Seamus Lawton (Castlemartyr)
Peter Brennan (Ballinhassig)
Jerry Linehan (Inniscarra)

Two midfielders and a half-forward in the full-forward line.

Kev is a great fan of the ‘dumb’ rating god bless him.

Your very last comment is very dumb an mis-informed.
Bar Cronin the other 2 regularly play in the full forward lines. Casey plays most of his hurling for Inniscarra there. Drake plays literally every position from 8 onwards between all the teams he plays for but again most of his club hurling is at FF.

Is Aidan Walsh anything to Austin?

Does this mean Cormac Murphy is available for the U21s?

Nice to see a few Youghal fella in there.:clap: Anyway the footballers will batter Sligo tomorrow and after that we’ll worry about Mayo. Please god Cubby will turn this around although rumours about a high profile departure from the panel are not encouraging.

Not sure? Kildorrery Austin?

Who?
I’m guessing Kelly, Goulding and Gould are candidates seeing as they were all dropped. But they were all useless against Kerry. Goulding is lazy and Gould is capable of disappearing.
Kelly is needed more than any if them.
You have never ever seen this back line play together, it may come to pass that there is a lot more balance to that defense.
It’s a very attacking half back line but with actual defenders in there as opposed to attackers.
None of those individuals are shit in any shape or form so you are talking bollicks.
There is a tremendous amount of pace and ball carrying on the wings now so let’s see how that goes.
I’m still worried about Clancy at No. 6 though. He vacates that role way too much.
Will be interesting to see how McGuire goes.
This guy,.

The context if it is obviously lost on you, again. Which is ironic as it’s related to the game against your own county. You obviously weren’t that tuned in, or god forbid there.

Thats a fucking hilarious line to be fair

Context says Kev,

You just dont get it pal.

Cork getting well beaten by Galway in the Intermediate.

Cork after mounting a comeback, Peter O’Brien leading the way.

Cork after winning, into the AI final.

The lad’s did what they had to do against Sligo and Colm O’Neill is back on form.We built up a nice lead at half time. The lad’s were clearly eager to get the wagon back on the road and we put this game to bed by the 24th minute.Sligo to be fair did be fair did fight back in the second half but we were always able to maintain that grip on the game we had at half time.We were 8 points ahead at half time and we were ahead by 7 points at full time.Sligo bought it down to 5 points at one stage of the second half but that was the closest they got to us.Sligo only scored 2 points in that first half which shows that we won’t know where were actually at until next weekend. We still need to see a huge improvement against Mayo the next day and we’ll be underdogs going into that but im hopeful that there’s a surprise or two in this team this year.Paul Kerrigan tormented Sligo tonight. Hopefully we’ll see more of the same next week. because Paul should be doing that in every game.Onwards we go Rebels Abu!

Congratulations to the intermediate hurlers on their win over Galway. They were 6 points down at one stage.Peter O’brien got 13 points. The final will be against Wexford who beat Kilkenny with a bit to spare. However their a Cork team so they’ll relish the challenge!
