Pa O’Callaghan apparently had a great game yesterday for Ballyhea, will definitely be asked on to the senior panel if he wants to join up.
He won’t join up. No ambition, Complete waste of talent
I’ll be honest and say I have some respect for a lad that doesn’t join up purely on the basis that he doesn’t want to. There are more than a few lads out there on inter-county panels that are there out of pressure, rather than preference. Its still a choice, rather than an obligation and the way things are going I can see more lads leaving panels or just out and out declining. Getting increasingly difficult to have a good career plus play club hurling, nevermind throwing inter-county on top of that.
We could do with him though, might put some pressure on the likes of Horgan.
Good to see Ballyhea getting back to the top level in Cork. Pisses off the Charleville shower anyway.
Don’t think it would piss anyone off in Charleville to be honest, the more we have playing in the top grade in North Cork the better.

Well said. Its the young lads choice whether he wants to spend his evenings going up and down to cork or actually have a life.
Are you saying committing to something like county hurling is not a life?
You are probably one of these cunts who drinks his life away and is bitter that others have the will and the ability to do something with themselves.

why do you assume these are the only people doing something with themselves ??..what’s wrong with preferring to be free to go travelling for the summer or being able to go to your best friend’s wedding or going down the pub for a drink and a laugh whenever you want ?..maybe they don’t have the interest to go training 5 nights a week as opposed to the will…you are taking what you think is important and expecting it to mean the same to them when clearly it might not be…maybe they are playing club hurling because that’s the level they actually enjoy…doesn’t make them a waster…
You have completely got this wrong. I have absolutely no problem with lads doing as you describe, in fact I applaud them for doing things their way and having the courage of their convictions to do that against probable pressure.
My issue with that idiot was him, and he is not alone, who think county lads are stupid for giving up their time. People who go on like that just do not understand what drives such people, and I would say 90% of them are perfectly happy and love the life they have. People like JBL couldn’t comprehend what it takes to have dedication to more than going out with the lads in a Saturday night, but instead of being comfortable with their lifestyle choices they run down others.
You seem to be sensitive to this because maybe you choose to go to the parties, drop the pills, drink the cans, go in holidays to pick up Spanish chicks. And more power to you. But you should make peace with your decisions and see the injuries or whatever as just things life throw at you.

thanks for advice pal…all I can do is try I guess… but we defo would have won that 5 a side game if I hadn’t got injured…
Whatever happens I hope JBM grows a pair and picks players on performance and not on name. Time for Horgan and Cronins involvement to be questioned and a few more with them.
Yes. He should drop Patrick Horgan alright. That makes perfect sense.
Like the Tipp lads wanting to drop Noel McGrath. Ye wouldn’t win a championship match without Horgan
Only the blind would disagree.
Glen destroyed yesterday by Sars. Unfortunately they are the kind of slow lumbering giants that Sars love playing, Glen always too slow to catch up with the little quick of feet Sars lads who excel in quick smart passing and creating space. Conor Sul destroyed Hoggie, who again missed numerous easy frees. Needs a year out honestly, go travelling or something.
Tadgh Og, Fraggie and Ray Ryan best on show apparently, JBM must be weeping.
Hoggie missed those frees early too, and it seemed to contribute towards unsettling the Glen. It was a reasonably competitive game for 15 minutes, and if he’d taken those frees they’d have only been a couple of points behind at that stage having conceded a goal. It was just a complete non-contest after that though.
He was superb, a class above everyone else on the pitch. Our forwards in general were sharper, that was the difference between the two sides. He was on a different level altogether though. He was winning clean ball in the air, and if he got any bit of a run on them he was just unstoppable. Put over a great point at the end to extend the gap to three when the pressure was coming on too.
They’ve their own final in a couple of weeks, playing Fermoy in the final of the lower intermediate grade.
I think it’s generally accepted that you should at least wait until somebody is no longer a teenager to declare them a complete waste of talent.
What did Ronan do to get the line braz?
