Thereās no fun in losing.
Lord no, itās actually hilarious, has anybody got a copy they could Fire up a few pages from, it is like a Green Beret course manual except itās aimed at young kids.
Totally depends on who replaces him. We wonāt be able to say for a long time.
Just back to this. It occured to me from an old conversation.
Are KK a Liverpool or a Man U? Is Cody a Shanks or Fergie.
Shanks built a lasting culture and was a very empathetic man with huge emotional and professio al drive. But it was all about the club.
Fergie was different. It was all about that year, that team. It was about the teM but not the club. In fact it was more about Fergie than it was Shanks about himself. The language they both use is telling.
I happen to think Cody is closer to Shanks than Fergie. Significantly so.
His new role with under 14 county footballers should stand to him.
Kevin OāDonovan was at the door handing out this document to delegates leaving the county board meeting tonight.
Thatāll be a black mark on his CV.
Lyng and McGarry in prime position to get the job now. Interesting that Cody went after Lyng of all the hurlers he has had under him. I donāt think he had any coaching experience. Iād put him in the job if Cody departed the scene.
I think @myboyblue is right though. Dempseyās influence is seriously underrated. Lads saying Codyās great strength is making changes on the line should look back on a few of his early years when heād wait until 65 minutes to make a change. Bringing Dempsey and Fogarty in about 5 years into his tenure brought the county to a new level.
Dempsey is a massive driving force alright. Itās neither here nor there anyway Cody will be with us a long time yet. Anyway outside the two you mentioned thereās no stand outs I can think of on the club scene. Could go for a joint management of pat o Neil and Eddie o Connor I supposeā¦ they would be box office !
I donāt think Michael Dempseyās role is underrated by anyone who knows anything about the KK setup.
What kind of fucking moronic format is this???

8 teams from Cork. Another 6/7 very decent B schools.
Ta colleges is the issue
If they move to him on there will be a rebellion for sure.
It came to my notice thos week that in their attempt to bridge the connection between Underage (development squads) and Senior they put a load of the old lads into all the teams.
The main man on the u14 Football is from my club. A 71 year old who never coached any team ever. Its so wrong its funny.
If i met a parent of a decelooment squad player i would actually tell them pull them and wait till 16. Because people like that only delay progress.
Just scanned the start of it but itās clear he has put a ton of work into it. Is he a decent punter?
BTW. What does he mean by āthe cult of managerā. I I get the context
Very decent. Not sure about now but they actually desolved his role at one point and he did it voluntarily and ran family farm at the same time. Unbelievable passion. The lack of support he gets is disgraceful, not to mention the sneering condecending attitude of the Cartel at the top.
The Cult of the manager to me is how much is put into a single manager and what he can do. The point bwing there should be a system where the manager is far less of a central figure and managers can come and go but the main show stays pretty steady.
Alsi take away the belief a manager can solve all the ills. Its a stupid narrow minded mentality.
Read through a bit of this. Looks like a lot of thought went it. I hope he/they already have some sort of a mandate for implementing it though. Otherwise the level of detail and some of the language will scare the shit out of the majority of club delegates.
A new election in every club involving all paid club members of delegates is needed.
Thats one of the massive issues in Cork. The clubs largely have no voice. Most delegates are institutionalized. They are getting out of the house for a few hours.

This happens in most counties Iād say.
Clubs wonāt send competent people as county board delegates because they need these people working in the club. Hence County Board Meetings often look like a scene from āOne flew over the cuckoos nestā.
Seven. Youghal went down. Surprised Hamilton are still in it, better off in B really.
