Good to get a win but Clare without Tony Kelly would probably lose to Laois or Carlow and have none of the physicality we struggle to deal with. Cadogan and Lehane offered very little. Joyce was excellent, clearly Coleman will remain center-back, would almost like to see Joyce at half-forward where we probably need him more. The fact that they aren’t adding much physicality to the forwards and still have Coleman at 6 tells me they aren’t going to change their style of play and that they think the AI final was just a blip.

Assume the back 1-9 is 99% likely to be what was picked at the weekend.

Big issue with the forwards is the complete inability to force turnovers, and it’s one clear area where the management have failed to improve the team.

U20 dynamo Ciarán Joyce to be rested for the trip to Offaly.

Mark Keane looks set to start, having snatched him from the football, they want give him an early opportunity to impress.

They have picked a shite team, and apparently O’Leary isn’t starting. Should be blooding a lot more players. God only knows the justification for Keane leapfrogging most of the squad.

Watching the match here. This poor bastard at number 2 for Offaly must have pissed in Fennelly’s cereal or something, 60 minutes so far of being absolutely tortured by Kingston. TOM MOTM.

Shane’s transfer rejected by Cork Co Board.

Not much to be said about that game. Cormac O’Brien deserves a go the next day, definitely the best of the new lads. Presume Downey and Joyce will come back in and Horgan will start for Keane - basically what will amount to our first team (dunno if Millerick is fit). Connery is well due a start as well.

The GDA for the whole region is a Buttevant clubman. A huge football head. Buttevant is all football these days FFS. Avondhu produce more to Cork football underage than hurling these days.

I thought Buttevant was full of Protestants?

It’s Muskerry

The great Batt Thornhill back in the 40s was the last Buttevant man to make a splash at inter county
