Have i to use my bloody camera Saturday?

you used the words very working class. I donā€™t think any area of Douglas is very working class.

thatā€™s middle class you just described

Middle class is having a job and not being on the breadline?
Iā€™ll have to redefine my categories, I always thought middle class was very comfortable, new car, no hassle paying the mortgage, loads of savings etc

from 2019.

Working class isnā€™t what you think it is

Myself I would say an area is very working class if there are council houses and not many people own their own home

Yes

Itā€™s probably worse if you are above watching kids training and your own not involved

Telling you whatā€™s what in Douglas despite your unfounded beliefs otherwise itā€™s very simple

I gave up on Douglas when they went back to the Rochestown Park Hotel for a post defeat drinking session a few years ago.

Thereā€™s GDPR around pulling out your camera around kids as well you know from signing forms

Itā€™s getting more odd by the minute.

What do you know about it :grinning:, and youā€™re the adjudicator?? wind your neck in a bit,
I know what Iā€™m talking about

What about round Ballyphehane area?

A mate of mine has a shop up around there. Working class and very, very working class in parts, but again, given the proximity to the City, houses are being bought by professionals

I knows me Cark so i does.

Dockers and binmen and salts of the earth

There is a completely random acre of low rise flats between Gilabbey St and Bandon Rd that is very working class and surrounded by student houses. No idea the history of it or how it is so out of place

CSO data from the last census states the average household income in the Douglas electoral area(s) is 27.3% higher than the state average.

Canā€™t classify that as working class.

Just up the hill from The Rock? Yea its utterly bizarre.

I guess Barrack Street is only down the road which would be rough enough. The Sportsman/Southside/Moks etc would be full of down and outs.

The Ladrokes on Barrack Street is one of the grimmest places i have ever set foot in.

A fella canā€™t pop into the Cork GAA thread these days to see what the latest is on the little all ireland without @thelimericks making it all about themselves

Yep. I lived on 98th St 25 years ago nowā€¦ which is at the other side of Ellises so bounds the flats on the other side of the Rock. There was no bother there at all at that time. Ellises had a tough crowd but no hassle. They have done fuck all to that area in the meantimeā€¦ Barrack St has improved a lot sinceā€¦ Lots of new bars and resteraunts still plenty scope for improvement
