Some big hits today. Biggest problem in Cork is that overcarrying is totally ignored by refs and leads to a rake of frees for holding in the tackle as defenders have no other option. That and a generation of Newtown style coaching takes time to eradicate.

I actually think the Cork senior hurling championship is a very good standard, and seriously competitive. Anyone of the 6 teams left can win it. A concern about the physicality but it depends on the referee in Cork a lot of the time. Too many tippy tappy refs.
Cork championship is even, some good games today but standard is not amazing at the moment.
