utterly harmless collision.
he was carried off but was up on his feet soon after and told a friend of mine that he was fine when asked.
cork management seemed unconcerned walking off after the match which he watched from the sideline himself without seeming to be in any discomfort.
That’s a lie.
there was a series of statements there.
which one of them was the lie?

The bit about you having a friend jumped off the screen.
But then I remembered we’re mates so I withdraw the comment.

So you are saying he did not break his leg??
no, i am saying that i am very surprised that it is broken as i left the ground last night fairly sure that it wasnt and shane Kingston was pretty sure it wasnt either as he said he was fine himself. he certainly wasnt in any serious pain during the hour he spent watching the match after coming off
very big blow for cork
Broken fibula- forget it.
didn’t they used to do that to peak for September
anyway some lads are naturally athletic - Jack O’Shea was a machine long before gyms or structured training programmes
I would worry about some lads but Murphy will be fine - he played an All Ireland Final a few weeks after breaking his collar bone - I heard the story of what he did to do that - bordering on insanity. Cork could do with a few more like him.
Jack O’Se lifted plenty weights and has been left crippled by it from what I heard. Kerry did unbelievable fitness training and quite large number of players were training addicts. Jack O’ Se, Spillane, Tommy Doyle and others were fanatical and trained most days of their careers. Spillane did crazy shit in the off season.
Kerry had good footballers and some great natural talent, but they were simply streets ahead in fitness and often hammered teams in the 2nd half.
Barry Kelly is the ref for Cork Waterford semi final.
Probably the best ref in the country - applies the rules, doesn’t allow the spare arm tackle
yes indeed. its not for everyone. Thats exactly what i said. he has chosen not to give that level of commitment and thats his right but lads crapping on about him being better than current cork seniors on the basis of playing well in club hurling is pure rubbish.
If you feel he has some terrible issue in his life that is preventing him hopping in a car with jamie coughlan or the duhallow players and spinning down to cork a few times a week thats fine.
I suspect he couldnt be arsed myself.
whether or not cork are any good has bugger all to do with it.
How can you comment when you have never seen the lad playing? Callaghan is better than lots of present Cork hurlers are for their clubs.

For those exact reasons is why Cody and Kilkenny hate him!!
Yes but Cody and KK are cute enough to play differently (albeit less effectively) when he refs unlike say Clare who cannot seem to adjust the pulling and dragging
Kelly reffing gives Cork a slight chance
Kelly has ridden Cork a few times too.
CBC becoming a hurling school?
http://www.rebelog.ie/news/360356/Rebel_Og_Award_for_May_to_CBC
Also won the urban A grade primary schools final.
GAA is upper middle class in a lot of areas where CBC get their players, so it follows suit really.
Yeah its noticeable how many Sars/Erins Own lads go there now. I’d assume Rockies and Douglas would provide a lot of their players but there is only a few from both clubs on the panel.
@Fagan ODowd - any idea what type of manager Mick Mahoney from Ballygunner is like? Who is now with Carrigtohill.
Had he success elsewhere?
A big mix of clubs though so they are obviously doing their homework and teasing guys out.
Good people involved though in fairness.
