Cork GAA Thread 2015

Frank is not a fan of cunningham i’d say.

Anyone can nominate a manager. However that is completely irrelevant and a political move to appear transparent. Final decision still with Frank. He picks people he can bully or he knows don’t enjoy a fight.

The camogie management should be considered, but again due to snobbery and personalities it won’t be.

Looks like Ronan Mac and possibly Kingston.

Judging by todays little snippet in the Indo Donal Og and Henry would make an ideal team for ye

Both are the best choices of who put themselves forward I think.

Management teams absolutely vital now.

Did ye hear about Teddy McCarthy? He was meant to be part of the 1990s Cork All-Ireland winning team paraded at HT in the final yesterday but instead got into an altercation with a member of security at Croke Park and went off in a huff into his car and back down to Cork. Billy Morgan had to stand in for him instead. Sean Kelly the former GAA president rang him and all to calm him down but McCarthy said he was going home. Stubborn as a mule.

Teddy McCarthy seems to have been treated poorly by Croke Park security yesterday.

I heard a rumour about town last night, go on…

Probably some square headed Polack i suppose?

Read my post above, i got in there just before TUM.

He seemed to overreact massively as well though

That’s hilarious.

This was what I heard. I’m curious as to what other stories are doing the rounds however. I’d be shocked to hear drink was involved.

Shocked.

Smark has it above.

Feel a bit sorry for him - somebody should have stepped in.

What was the altercation about.

He went to wrong place to get in and lost his temper. Probably had a few on board but professional security in Croke Park can be a bit of a pain in the Arse and have run ins with teams actually playing there that day

Edit - I hear he is off the booze

You sure about this being the reason?

No not sure
heard he was off the booze though.

He makes out they shuffled him about a few times. He went to one entrance and then they pointed him to another one and for a finish he ended up back at the one where he started, upon which he said “Who is running this zoo?”. Head of security came out then after they were telling him to calm down and the head man was talking through a metal gate to him. He probably felt a dual All-Ireland winner like himself deserved more respect. He was told come back in an hour and they’d let him in after he’d cooled off or something to that effect and then Teddy snatched his pass back out of your mans hand through the gate and the head of security didn’t like it. Too many fella’s there with too big egos who wouldn’t back down, all as stubborn as each other from what i can see and Teddy wouldn’t please them i suppose by coming back in the hour. Probably knew it would have to come out in the media after and the boys could look bad. All very petty all round really.

You seem to have the inside line on this, did you witness it?

That’s a shame. Of all the years, of all the guys, Teddy, no matter if he had drink taken or not, if he was aggressive or not, deserved to get in yesterday.
