62% success rate in testing apparently. Surprisingly low if true.
Think Fagan is spot on, depends entirely on the goalkeeper. Can see the likes of Nash and Gleeson struggling big time, others will save a fair few.
Don’t find that surprising at all. Most inter county goalkeepers have outstanding reflexes and agility
Ya true but if you put it top or bottom corner at the pace canning or Horgan or Nash can hit them it’s not happening.
They need to give the penalty taker a bit of slack over where its hit from. Not taking the piss but he shouldn’t be worrying primarily about where its hit from.
Nah, they made the rule now, they have to enforce it. Fuck it up and it should be a free out.
They should foot fault it. Have a line which the back foot must not be beyond then. Trying to lift and strike a ball under pressure, and watch where you are striking it from as it moves forwards is tricky. The tipp penalties in the aif were poorly struck as the taker was quite clearly more worried about where he was striking it from, than the strike itself.
Both poorly struck alright, but KK had obviously put a lot of effort into putting 2 good shot stoppers at either side of their keeper. Not many teams bring back their star forward ala a TJ Reid or Richie Hogan.
Couple of changes for tonight due to injury.

Is any of the hurling on telly??
Have they ever had inter-county hurling in January on the TV?
No but before tg4 they never had much nhl cover. Things change. Hurling is sexy in D4 these days.
Its better for the product that no one sees Waterford Crystal or Walsh Cup games really, it aint for the sunshine supporters like @glasagusban.
January hurling would look better if tg4 provided a rag for the cameraman to wipe the lens every one and then, unless they are looking for soft focus. It makes you feel cold watching it.
Thats merely to give you the feel of “being there”. As we all know, “nothing beats being there”, even if “there” is a rain soaked St Brendan’s Park in the arsehole of January as you watch Johnny Pilkington and Daithi Regan try to run the arses off themselves after wintering exceptionally well that Christmas.
I’ll record some of the rows between the Wexicans & our crowd this Sunday, ESP for you bud.
What game is this?
Edit - forget it, the one in Cashel.
Cork 1-26
UCC 2-12
Nash new captain.
