This current group of Cork hurlers havenât won anything at underage level, if we can put a plan in place to negate Walsh in Midfield there will only be a score in it either way. We have nothing to fear from the rebels
To be honest i think thereâs a bit of trash talk coming from both sides.I have been briefed from a relative that lives in Limerick that the consensus on Shannonside is that Limerick will win by 5 or 6 points and that Tom Condon will sort out Alan Cadogan.Apparently the view is that Cork are too soft.We shall see in less than a months time.
True but we have nothing to fear from Limerick either.Limerick to be fair beat us in a classic munster u21 final in 2011.That Cork team was managed by an out and out county board lackey in the form of Ger Fitzgerald.County board politics and the hiring of managers who arenât able to manage a team is the cause of Corks underage hurling woes as opposed to a lack of talent.Talk is cheap as they say.The most important place to do the talking will be out on that pitch on July 13th.
will ya stop, you know damn well who i am:D
what has underage got to do with winning anything at senior and Walsh at midfield?
i played junior hurling for Foynes when i was 15 on that pitch there by the housing estate
Thatâs nonsense, the Cork team has a whole new spine to it this year, Cadogan whether you like it or not has added a scoring threat to your full forward line that you didnât have last year. I can guarantee you thereâs no real hurling people from limerick going to Cork with that attitude, JBM is a shrewd manager and yeâll be all out to gain revenge over last year, I still feel if our lads click on the day weâll take some stopping. I just hope to god TJ picks the right team and the team performs to a level that theyâre well capable of, we are a match for anyone in my opinion if we do so.
I agree Limerick are a very good team.To be honest between all the moaning we did last year over the Horgan sending off and the way Limerick will be written off in the media that ye will have more than enough motivation yourselves. The best team will win and if that team is Limerick then i will shake hands with the Limerick supporters beside me and take the beating with grace and dignity.
It meanâs that the majority of this Limerick panel donât have an inferiority complex when it comes to playing Cork over the years from u14âs up. It actually means a lot as they wonât be carrying the psychological damage of losing to the cunts all the way up from underage.
I can tell you for a fact that ALL Limerick people have an inferiority complex about Cork, all of them*
*except Tom Ryan
Dowling has beaten them in championship matches at minor, u-21 and senior. Not many Limerick lads can lay claim to that .
Itâs like before the Tipp game all over again, Limerick patronised in the media (âthey did so well last year and are still Munster champions after allâ) and that will suit the squad down to the ground. Cork are an excellent team, deserve to be favourites but theyâll have to earn it.

If you feel inferior to the likes of Charleville, Buttevant,Mallow, Blackpool, North Main Street, Douglas etc your not a Limerick manâŚ

Who will be man of the match? On the Cork side iâd say Hoggie or Seamie. On the Limerick side iâd say Shane Dowling or James Ryan.I wonder who will score the first penalty or 21 yard free!
Iâve not been following things here but I assume this Beautiful City lad is Tipptops latest creation?

To be honest DK i find your Cork are an excellent team line to be patronising in itself! Were a good team but were not the finished article by any means.JBM took over when we were in a bad way.Heâs done a super job to get us competitive again.

[quote=âThe Cork Examinerâ]âŚthe source claimed that if the game was going to be fixed for Thurles then Mr Slattery would have spent yesterday afternoon carrying out a thorough inspection of Semple Stadium and not PĂĄirc UĂ Chaoimh.
âŚCork officials, meanwhile, have reasserted the capacity of PĂĄirc UĂ Chaoimh stands at 40,050 and not 32,000 as was mentioned in Slatteryâs 2012 report commissioned by the GAA, or, indeed, the 34,000 figure floated by Limerick officials this week.
âŚBoard chairman Bob Ryan last night expressed confidence the game would take place in PĂĄirc UĂ Chaoimh. Ryan said no developments had come to light in the past 48-hours which would suggest the fixture will be staged elsewhere. Ryan was not present for the visit of Michael Slattery, nor had he spoken to Frank Murphy.
âŚThere is a sense of anger growing in provincial circles over Limerickâs reluctance to travel south for the clash.

Play the damn thing in PUC. Fit the extra 10,000 spectators on the end-lines, shur they will already be on the field then for the pitch-invasion. And when Dodgy has the cup safely secured in his possession for another year, we will raze the fucking kip to the ground.

Where are they getting this line that âthere is reluctance in Limerick to travel to Cork.â Iâve heard no-body say they have an issue with travelling down there, apart from Tom Ryan who made the very valid point of thousands of more people being able to see the game if it is switched to a bigger venue such as Thurles.
Trying to whip the Cork squad and supporters into a frenzy - âthose Limerick cunts donât want to come down and face us in the Park!â
The Examiner is easily the best of the national papers when it comes to sport but the parochialism about issues like the venue for this game/the reaction to Pat Horganâs red card in last years decider does not reflect well on them. Bob Ryan seems to be on there every single day.
âSources close to the Cork County Board say Pairc Ui Chaoimh will host the Munster finalâ - they are hardly going to admit their ground is a fucking kip, are they!

Iâve seen the term âprovincial circlesâ mentioned a few times, who are they.
Itâs impossible to take the cork examiner seriously. The Vale Star shows more objectivity.
