Eh lads, its taken a long time for him to be “found out” don’t ye think. What a crock of shite. He has hurled some absolute brilliant games, and i don’t know is it strikes, jealousy over his money and profile or just down and out racism that lets ye waffle on the way ye do, but Sean Og was an outstanding hurler for Cork.

And there was me thinking all the PROC thing was just a bit of tongue in cheek banter, turns out these Cork boyos really do think they are a different race to the rest of the country.

Looking at the Cork team, with the O’Halpín brothers on the field I’m swaying over to a Tipp win. Seán Óg was shown up in the league final as to the level of hurler he is these days and the younger brother is just not good enough. I don’t know what the Cork management are thinking of. I suppose Cussan will give more of an option or an impact when he is introduced.

Even though they are at home Cork must be underdogs. Seemingly at the challenge game up in Castlelyons Seán Óg wasn’t up to much that day either. Niall Mc had a decent enough game on the 40 but was out on the wing. I was told who was centre forward, think it was O’Sullivan from Dripsey and was told he was shite. He was shite too against KK in the Pairc in the league.

I’ll say Tipp by 6, just don’t think Cork are good enough. Galway gave them a trimming in the League final and I think that Cork were targeting the league as a source of silverware in order to please the rebel public as they know they aren’t going to win Munster or Liam this year.

sean og is good at doing things instinctively but if he over analyses things he finds himself a bit lost- in american football terms he would be a good running back but would never be a quaterback

O’hAilpín was well below par in the League Final but that’s not to say he won’t have a good championship. Of course, it goes without saying that it’s not racist to criticise his poor display against Galway; Kevin implying otherwise is a typical tard comment from him.

Its retarded to isolate the comment, just like you like to do. Tha dislike for Sean Og and saying he was past it didn’t start this week on here. I believe he even got nominated for COTY 2 years in a row. If Sean Og is a cunt then this country is wall to wall with absolute cunts.

has / was being the important bit. I actually think Sean og was a very under rated hurler during Corks best days, and when KK started on their run and were beating Cork, I personally thought Sean Og was their most impressive hurler. he does a lot of unseen work, he might not do booming clearances or burst lads out of it, but he is some man to read a breaking ball and always gives a simple pass to a player rather than getting rid for the sake of it. but this year from what I have seen, and granted you will certainly have seen more, I dont think he is half the player he was. a player with a lesser profile would probably have been dropped, but its not just him it happens too, its all over the place. its hard to tell players they are finished. I’d be suprised if he keeps at it next year. only my opinion tho for what its worth.

the other lads you mentioned, as much as I think Gardiner and Donal og are pricks, its hard to argue with their contributions. I still think Niall mc is shite. and I think Timmy was a very under rated player when he was around. much maligned I suppose as Ger would put it.

the other point about Cork being more up for it, I think at this stage, Cork have more to prove than Tipp. Its in PUC, and this is their first proper year after the strike, and they lost to tipp the last time there. I dont think there is a public pressure on them, rather than their own pressure. I feel they want to go out and prove they were right to go on strike and for those reasons, will be more up for it than Tipp. This Tipp team I dont feel are overly physical, and I expect Cork to be hitting hard and often early on. thats what I mean by that. I think Tipp have their eyes on games further down the line, whereas Cork dont. I could well be wrong, but again, just what I think.

I would say quite the opposite. Its his preperation and analysis that has him where he is, he’s not as natural an instinctive hurler as some of the other top players.

Not as strong as last year’s team, and there are quite a few very good players missing for whatever reason. Jon O’Callaghan, Stephen White and Brian Corry are probably the only players with a chance of making a step up to senior, I expect Corry to stand out big time at this level.

Danny Callaghan was a serious prospect at Minor, but had a bad injury, only back this year, he’s from Ballinhassig.

Lane is Dromina or Milford i think, or maybe somewhere in Duhallow.

Healy is Buttevant if its Tadgh.

Don’t think that Coleman is Ballinhassig, he’s Ballymartyle or Tracton

If this was knockout I’d be throwing money at Tipp at 4/6. Cork havent the forwards to worry Tipp really. The trio of Kelly, Corbett and McGrath will take serious watching. Not sure if Cadogan will be able for Kelly really. Guess Cork will hope for their midfield and half back line to get on top early but there is goals in the Tipp forward line and I think they could win comfortably as a result.
