Sure it was blatantly obvious that the under reported protests in tanland would be followed by intensive propaganda about third waves, British variants, further restrictions, no holidaysetc. I hope the tans burn Westminster to ground…stormont, the dail , stormont etc should be dealt with similarly

It has stats from week to week on cases, settings for outbreaks etc.
There was 27 crèche outbreaks in one particular week in January. Now a few individual crèche outbreaks in recent days are being held up in lights.
It’s almost as if we’re approaching the April 5 deadline to this latest round of restrictions and NPHET and the government want to justify their mooted very limited loosening of restrictions.
It’s where you’d ideally want an analytical and dogged media type to investigate and question them on these things. It may well be that infections are recommencing a worrying upward trend, particularly among young people, but it’s all propaganda lately really.

Is it an understandable worry considering how the mRNA vaccine works? It would be a concern based on regular vaccines yes that are designed to combat specific variants like the flu vaccine. I don’t think variants have much more if a risk other than political statements and hysteria

What about Sweden Mike?
All of the vaccines essentially work the same, even though they do it differently. They all introduce the instructions to make the coronavirus spike protein which your immune system then responds to. They are all far more effective than the typical flu shot. I agree there is not too much to worry about unless a very different version of the virus emerges.

Not really. In fact a big difference is that most European countries stayed in lockdown over Christmas.
Will the vaccine create any resistance to pre covid 19 corona viruses?
Theoretically they should as they all target the spike protein which is common in all coronaviruses.
