In hindsight it may have not been the correct decision but the idea that people on trolleys in December and January is a new thing is wrong.

I broke my arm this time two years and went into UHL. I spent 5 days on a trolley with my VHI then eventually got my op done out of a public bed. I ended up getting the vomiting bug while I was in there and had a horrendous sickness for a week after.

If I was an 80 year old man with that bug I’d have been lucky to see it through.

Should the focus have not been on extra ICU given they knew people would socialise= more cases= more beds?

Had pubs not been open i would have went to my shebeen,
