Coronavirus - the deadly virus that no one dies from

Please dont post any rubbish to do with reservoir dubs here.

Taking the figures above,

Between 27th August and 09 September,

There have been 1829 positive tests.

There have been 1818 confirmed cases in the daily 5:30pm reports.

For some consistency in the reporting (if you can call it that) there is a cut off point for when cases are added to the daily figures being reported. I think this is noon.

For example, two tests are taken on a Monday at around the same time but at different test centres. The tests are sent away to different labs. They are examined and they both are positive.

Lab A sends the result to the department on Wednesday at 11:30am. Lab B sends the result to the Department at 2pm Wednesday. The test from Lab A gets reported in the daily figures a day earlier than the test from Lab B.

This is where the discrepancy occurs between Tests taken/Cases reported on a particular day.

No point looking at daily figures really so. just look at them weekly.

Suits them not to.

So the next two weeks are vital.

I want an online dashboard where testing result data is accessible in real time. I’d spend my days under the bed watching the curve move up and down only turning briefly away for the odd piss into the bedpan.

Killing us with our love everyday. Never so true than now. So apparent.

At one stage the CSO provided a map of the cases by electoral division, but it doesn’t seem to have been kept up to date. Something like that would be very useful and would only need to be updated bi-weekly.

“The department said yesterday it was “not feasible” for the HPSC to provide 14-day incidence rate breakdowns by electoral area, given its heavy workload. Even a request from The Irish Times for separate figures for Limerick city and county could not be met.”

That’s bollox like.
They obviously have the details of the cases, I’m pretty sure some code monkey here could write a connector to pull that data into a map in seconds.

Christ you’d get a coop student to do it manually even.

Who would of thought the HSE could be lazy and inefficient?

They seem to do it every couple of months.

It’s farcical, they just aren’t managing the data well.

Hasn’t been updated since June I think…

Expect high numbers in Limerick next week

They need to hold off on testing and not trigger a spike in the 14 day case rate and give the government an excuse to lock down Limerick

12th of August.

Exactly.

What you don’t know cant hurt you.

Bring your date of birth with you…assuming this refers to documentation containing same, are they expecting a large turn out from “undocumented” individuals?
