No leadership. Martin could have had a win win and opened the pubs for outdoor drinking. Terrified of numbers going up so prefer to see kids herded and chaos. Carnage on streets was better for them than numbers going up by a per cent or two.

They know well that it wouldnāt have made a difference to numbers. Itās all about appearances, they have to be seen to support NPHET 100%. NPHET have their own ideas on everything, so thatās that. The question journalists should have been asking Holohan was whether heād have preferred pubs open outdoors 4 days early or the scenes he witnessed last weekend.

Take all of the drinking out of controlled areas inaccessible to youngsters and gurrier-tyes (usually) and move it all onto the streets. It was a great idea.
