You’re part of a large cohort of people who have retreated into a fantasy world where you’d always much rather hear a reassuring lie than an inconvenient truth. It’s prob been discussed already but did the Berlin pub break any actual laws? My reading of it is that they didn’t adhere to guidelines but almost by definition guidelines sound fairly discretionary?

I’d agree with @fistoffury that it shouldn’t have happened the way it did but if they didn’t break any laws I think the state is over-reaching.

With a quick google I’m sure I’ll find government guidelines on alcohol consumption, healthy eating etc etc. For some reason up to know I’d presumed that as they were guidelines they were discretionary …

It is. District Courts are not really where you’d expect the greatest legal minds to sit so I’d expect they’d win on appeal in a court which has to follow precedent and actual case law.
