My father in law is 70, has bad lungs and was diagnosed with Covid 3 weeks ago. I watched the football with him yesterday while we had a couple of cans of Guinness each and made plans to head up the Mournes again later this month. His wife was in the house with him throughout and no restrictions observed due to stubbornness, seems she hasn’t been affected at all.

A family across the road, the father tested positive for Covid, so the whole family was tested wife, son and daughter and none of them got it despite being in close contact with him.

It seems like this is an over reaction, yes some people are going to get sick and some will die as happens every year with other illnesses like flu. We can’t keep locking everything down, it is starting to look like an over protective mother now who wont let her kids play because one time they fell and had a cut.

There are two lots of people. For easy maths let’s say 20k in each group. Obviously not all of these have been exposed to covid yet or caught covid. But the cases are ten times less in the group that had the vaccine than in the group that didn’t have the vaccine. The 94 people are the people in that category

Nail on the head there. The whole of Europe is in lockdown but “a family across the road” were grand. It’s just goes to show it’s all an overreaction. Someone call macron and Merkel for the love of God, do they not know about the family across the road?
