Anyhow, big vaginas asideā¦is it any wonder the NHS is on its knees when random punters can just walk into a pharmacy, ask if theyāve lateral flow tests, be asked how many, and reply 3, and be handed 3, without so much as a why, who for or by your leave.

What case numbers per day for the 2020 Christmas period did the brains trust on this forum predict around this time last year?

The main thing that has flabbergasted me, time and time again, is not the virus or spikes in case numbers. It is the willingness of people to label their peers who hold onto their right to bodily integrity.
Iām not as caught up on case numbers as you are. There is not a linear correlation between infection rates or case numbers and deaths. Cases simply do not equal deaths. Other factors need to be looked at, such as transmissibility and virulence. Look at Delta AY.4.2 - highly transmissible but not as virulent as other variants. Also, the frequency of testing and the number of cycles in PCR tests need to be factored into any assessment.
