Coursing 2010/11 - The Road to Clonmel

Great preview HB, I’m definitely out for Sunday but will head over for Saturdays action.
We introduced some new blood to the coursing last week and I’d say they will be keen enough to keep going.

This is only showing up as a red X for me. Anyone have the link to this picture?

Just quote the post and copy the link from there.

Pat Ingoldsby is looking fairly shook there.

Is he an anti i wonder?

He certainly has all the hallmarks.

Roll call for Clarina in the morning ?

The true colours of these coursing bullies has really come to the surface here. When they advocate the torture of defenceless animals, it’s hardly a surprise that they would think nothing of serious criminal assault on humans. Threats like this show exactly why the activity needs to be banned.

Shannonsider’s threat is a very serious matter.

Decent fair in regional this morning, with a healthy crowd in attendance.
Hang Blaa will be on the road back up in the morning as well.

Bad first weekend out… Our Oaks bitch was disapointing. She had no trial so it was all a bit foreign to her, and ran a real hariy pup. But she didnt really show any gears. The hill is serious in Clarina, and she is small, so a flat field is what she needs, badly. Thurles and Freshford now…

All Age dog is a fat fooker, but he has gears, and really does all his running in the second half of the course, so when he lead Small Bit Gone (the winner is a close call from Captain Dru) from slips it was game ball, then he just fell in a heap… was shocked, but he was in a bad way last night, and has burst a few blood vessels in his shoulder. Then the bitch that was supposed to be in a duffer, ran a blinder to win a course.

I didnt make it back this morning, but heard it was good… Controversy in the Oaks, where Lyrics (who pissed every course) won a 75yrd buckle in the semi when the hare sat down just as the dogs were dropped.

Teh Kyle dog that won the trial stake looks a bit special to me. He is as long as an articulated truck, and covers massive ground with each stride. He is a bit nervy though which is odd for such a good dog. 3 weeks in and 2 Kyle dogs in the derby.

Onwards from here now… Loughrae next weekend… dream is still alive.

didn’t make it over today but myself, MAD and Big Stack had pinned Small bit Gone as one to watch. No real surprises beyond that.

Spotted you Saturday but you were with your group so let you be.

Who is Big Stack?

The most astute dog man in West Limerick after yourself.

Did i meet him in Glin?

Yes, the bigger of the two

I see the National meeting is down for the three days of:

Mon Jan 31st
Tues Feb 1st
Wed Feb 2nd

I wonder would it be an idea to get accomodation sorted or would there be much accomomation in Clonmel that week? Sure there will be huge demand for accomodation leading up to it. I was put up somewhere last year but that option is now gone after we made a show of ourselves in there…

Myself & Runt were positioned at the top of the field where the dogs came out of the field afterwards and we had a good look at him, He looks an absolute picture, grand big dog, well made, a back like a shetland pony on him.
