Coursing 2010/11 - The Road to Clonmel

He is the best built dog I have seen in a while.
The muscles were popping from the hind quarters.

That’s what you get for bringing Tournafulla Man along!

We booked the Clonmel Park a week or 2 before the coursing last year, twas dear enough at around 80 a head but minimum hassle.

Although now that I think about it we may not be welcome back there either after some verbal abuse was handed out during the course of our check in.

You used the “N” word towards some manager fellla.

Retract that scurrilous remark!!

B)

Here we’ll get in somewhere. I presume ye are all heading down for the three days? And the call-over even?

I’ve some further great news regarding Clonmel; Tournafulla Man has provisionally pencilled himself in to make another trip this year, having previously all but ruled himself out.

@ MAD

Did you go back yesterday ? What happened in the Oaks SF… heard it was scurilous that there wasn’t a back to slips.

Was Small Bit Gone lucky to get the flag in the final, heard he didnt really go into his hare. Tom Lawlor wouldn’t give it to you for that carry on !

No I didn’t make it over, I got held up in the morning so by the time I was ready for road I went over to Greenmount for the National instead. I heard about the BTS that never was alright but I don’t know the full circumstances.

Loughrea bound this weekend… anybody with experiences of this field ? A good long field I am told.

I’ll hopefully take a spin up on Sunday, never been there before, but have heard the same as yourself.

Great stuff here.

Almost 8 months on, the board is given a taste of what really went on in Clonmel

Do you have many giving it a lash this weekend HB?

Just the one in the Derby, but fancy him as our best chnce this season. Meeting a well bred sort in the morning on Sat though, that won aorund in a good clock in NewRoss already. If we do get over him, I am due to go to slips with Mr. Matthews in the afternoon against a half brother of ‘Cross Country’. If I am going back on sunday it will be a fair achievement as the dog has yet to be in a pair of slips… Targeting a afew possibilities in 3-4 weeks time for the pups, these runs are just part of the schooling process, well thats the theory anyway.

Best of luck with it anyways.

Brazing Serpeant should have a right chance in the cup, especially with the run up in Glin under his belt.

Yeah, he won his TS there last year, and I think the filed is similar in length to Clonmel.

Cups looks good, and there is some serious breeding in the TS’s.

From my reading of the results on Nuts I reckon your back again tomorrow??
MAD’s extended family also have an interest tomorrow.

Chalk it down, I am back tomorrow. Absolutey blew me away today, we knew he was fast but but he had a savage clock in the first round, and is the fastest pup left in the TS. Was way back on the clock in the second round but the other dog drove him nto to wire but he fough back and won by well… Time for prayers now… The Razor Ashmore - Tango Time pup looks a bit special.

I have never been heading to a coursing field on a sunday in this position. Dont reckon there will be much sleep tonight.

@MAD, say hello tomorrow if you are up… Will be recognisable as the tall lad bringing Houdini to slips…

Sounds promising so, hopefully all goes to plan

Don’t worry HB, we had you well pinned in Regional HB

Word has reached me from Loughrea that TFKCSC are one buckle away from getting it’s first qualifier for the Derby.

Best of Luck

Just made contact briefly there with the man himself to offer my congratulations, to say he’s over the moon wouldnt begin to do it justice. There won’t be any fancy prices about this lad for clonmel I’d say.
