The whole point of socialism is arguing with someone who is a slightly different type of socialist

A faux socialist isn’t a socialist.

a fauxcialist, if you will

Trust me there are plenty of them around virtue signalling the fuck out of everything rather than focus on real issues like universal health care, income equality, homelessness

they’re doing the exact same as you claimed you were doing a while ago.
You complain, they virtue signal.

I’d imagine twitter (I don’t go on it) is like being a passenger in a Dublin taxi. Where the driver is the stereotypical dub taxi driver, and the other passenger is an uber liberal, gender neutral, radical socialist.

It would be funny for about 3 minutes until you got caught in traffic

Do you think you can make compassion compulsory?

God know, that’d be ugly, much like those that pretend to be compassionate.

okane?

I think most people, including myself, who were saying open to the pubs etc have realised that approach has backfired and that they were wrong. Has led to a subdued atmosphere around the place.

Speak for yourself, lockdowns have proven to be a disaster except for causing more misery and making social outcasts feel better about themselves.

Looking forward to the aftermath when life goes back to normal and all the Middle aged whiners are back living their life of mediocrity while normal sane people are back living their life to the full.

I’d be hopeful an odd one on here might tell the wife to F off with her avocado shopping once a year.

Of course they’ve been a disaster everyone knows that and I’ve heard very few talk positively about them in real life. But the battle among the general public has been well and truly lost. Im meeting dozens of random people every day and where before Christmas there was a growing feeling lockdowns had gone too far and we have to open up, now the vast majority might not like it but are resigned to the fact that it has to be done for now with what’s going on in hospitals. Total change in public mood.
