Curious horsey phrases used by horsey people

You’ll have to wait and see if it’s mentioned in the referee’s report. A black card if spotted at the time (except when Marty Duffy is ar an feadóg) - Red then…

Ruby was guest of rte all week in Galway and the public were tweeting him questions on Wednesday. One was, what’s the best ride you ever got in Galway? Ruby gives a pure serious answer about a horse! An awful pity that man doesn’t have a good sense of humour!!

From what I hear Ruby may be keeping the head down about riding, especially around Paul Nichols estate…

You would imagine that would be a disadvantage for a horse

“Being ridden prominently”

“You can’t let a horse with that kind of tactical speed do that”

“Gallops on strongly late in the day”

bizarre stuff on C4 at the moment
" part of the trainers job is to get the horse mentally right"… i mean please, its a bit like a paedophile trying to convince the world that the kids actually like it
and another belter uttered by a simpleton sounding type with that lisp and stammer that people who befriend horses ususally have … " you’d be suprised what horses can actually see"

‘more fluent at that one’

the freak @Mac :
“Why should the horse, trainer and owner be disadvantaged because of a jockeys decision?”
how exactly do you disadvantage a horse @Mac and how they feel about it ?

adding human like qualities and behaviours to a horse is utterly fucked up, its actually disturbing

+1.

I saw quotes along similar lines from one of Bayan’s owners over the weekend. He said that he was delighted for the horse because he really deserved to win a big race and would be content now.
Kicks For Free was 5th. Nearly had a little each way earner as he was 25/1.

The favourite looked a certain winner when he hit the front at the turn but there you go.
