Customer Service Experiences - Good & Bad

I’m waiting 6 days now!
I also emailed them on Friday evening to see what the story was and no response as of yet.

They’ve just arrived
Looks like they just fired them in the post after my email on Friday as there was no dispatch notifications etc.

We sold a car recently and wanted to cancel the insurance attaching. It took about 8 phonecalls to do this and when we eventually managed it they still took the direct debit the following month.

So I went and cancelled the DD on my Internet banking. Lo and behold I get an email from the insurance company the following week telling me my insurance was null and void if I didn’t pay the full balance within 5 working days.

In my rage I had cancelled another car insurance policy I had with the same company which was insuring a car we still drove. Pain in the arse but my fault so fair enough

I spent 9 hours on hold over 4 days with the AA. Each time I’d get through to customer services, tell them the detail and they would pass me through to the finance team and if be left on hold for hours. I’d be tipping away on other stuff with the phone on speaker but eventually hang up

This am I lost the plot with the girl in customer services as my insurance was being cancelled today and I had made multiple efforts to resolve it and no one would take my money off me. Eventually she took my card details and I paid the full thing off in one go. I dictated a note for my file which she painstakingly read back to me about how I would never deal with them again etc etc… Iv had my insurance on 2 cars, house insurance, AA membership etc for 10 years

I am seething with the AA

“What did you say your name was…? Okay Maureen, I want you to read the following statement back to me…I need it for my files.”

Christ and people wonder why it takes so long to get through to a customer service agent when you have dipshits like this dictating notes to them and making them read them back to you.

Dipso.

Jesus your heart would go out to poor Maureen here. And thats before you can even imagine the amount of times she had to type “like, boy, yknow”.

Just been on to AXA. Didn’t renew with them for house or car this year. They still took first payments out for both. Very easy deal with though. Quick phone call both times and get through to a friendly wee lass who sorts the issue and refunds.

Giving scant disregard to fear of emotional reprisals, I wonder if he mentioned his wife was a nurse.

I want to give this a like, but I too am fearful of reprisals following recent events. But know, that I did find it amusing and am confirming the same. I may very well take the step, and give it the like in due course.

The legendary @gilgamboa temper. @Fitzy wouldn’t get a look in with you I’d say.

I can assure you that They will be devastated to read that in your customer notes while they sit back fondling your money.

They would have got my money either way

I’m having an unreal bad experience with my life insurer. I’m off to the Ombudsman to try and get things resolved.

Did you die ?

Too close for comfort. For all parties.

Don’t do a mass shooting at the office now.
Just come back and haunt them.

I have had a good experience to date with Axa and Thornton Assessors about some lost jewellery.
