Daily Debate - Joe Canning v Seamus Callanan

Good to see you back to near your best mate.

Good to see a lot of bot accounts voting for Canning

What colour is that kettle mate?

No show like a joe show

What’s that supposed to mean, MATE?

Clergy are fully aware of that dishonest carryon

Hypocritical ironicalism

@tomryansfarmingadventures , @gaillimh24 @Ash77, @Hypestaplerfifty @FlakeAway and @pulpfiction

They dont have 1 post between them i’d say.

Sad to see @TreatyStones shitting on his own doorstep too.

Joe all day long.

:astonished:

It’s going to take a Tipperary v Wexford style comeback from the dead for Seamie to get this back.

God bless the Clergy.

Joe by a country mile. Could play the cunt in any position on the field

Never has one thread so succinctly separated the hurling men from the chocolate mice

Joe’s marketing team has played a blinder with the simple lads

I’d consider the impact of the players around the two lads being discussed. Callanan has played in teams where the tactics, for the most part, are designed to create space for him to score goals. A massive over-simplification, but he has one job… and he’s been lethal at it. Joe does more of the donkey work out the field and takes more punishment. Probably because he has to. Tipperary have others to wheel that barrow.

Callanan used to struggle with a good full back; not as much of an issue nowadays as he has matured.

Joe has been moved around a good bit in an effort to bring more out of those around him… that’s how good he is. His biggest problem is he’s far better than those he plays with; the same couldn’t be said of Callanan and Tipperary.

Canning for me.

A hurlin man here.

Its remarkable how many of callanans points are the same. He’s left on an island one on one with an acre in front of him. He stays close to goal, then times a run into the space and often receives a perfect pass that actually has time to bounce into his hand, left or right turn and a guaranteed score. If he times his run with the quality of ball its nearly unstoppable. Yes of course he gets good goals too but how many times has he been the sole focus of the other teams defenders, how many times has he been double marked. Has he ever? Canning has had to deal with that attention almost his whole career. Countless times when he was full forward the tactic was have someone smother him with a spare defender sweeping alongside. Can’t do that against tipp. Take them out and place them individually in say carlow, where the quality of ball in wouldn’t be there, or the danger from other players and theyd be expected to make something from nothing with all the attention. Canning wins there all day.

Callanan’s movement is brilliant, that’s why he’s so good. Canning just stands there waiting for the high one which Joey Holden mops up

One of Callinan’s greatest ever performances is never mentioned due to two complete retards from limerick who completely overshadowed it with their ineptitude.
