Daily Debate - Joe Canning v Seamus Callanan

By and large you’d have to say Limerick hurling fans are simple cunts.

Which one is this?

Canning done it a number of positions too in far weaker teams. Callanan is a one tricky pony in terms of where he can play so Again its advantage joe.

2008 Munster under 21 final. Singlehandedly dragged tipp back into it and over the line. Was an outstanding performance from centre forward, really stood up and delivered. Could have had a couple more goals only for outstanding saves from Donal Touhy

Also factor in joes club and colleges career put him well ahead.

Oh, the one my clubman reffed :see_no_evil:

Canning had to get moved out of full forward because he kept getting roasted by Joey Holden

Canning is carrying a small county, in hurling terms, on his back ffs sake.

While this was definitely true the first half of Canning’s intercounty career he hasn’t exactly been playing with a bunch of muppets during the second half of his career. That Galway side have loads of fellas with All-Stars. Some with multiple All-Stars.

Has anyone chucked up JJ Delaney’s comparison of the two?

Does he post here?

Do you need a bit of insulation?

Yes he’s @SEX_CALL_455_8064

Which do you prefer driving?

Joe

The greatest defender of all time settles it so. Hard for Canning to get the quality of ball that Callanan gets when he’s just waiting inside for the high ones. Explains why Joey Holden found it so easy to mark him also compared to Callanan who took him for 9 (nine) points from play in an All Ireland Final

oooooooftt

Canning was always very static at 14, subtle movement and driving into space was never his strength in there.

He was like a lad in his 40s who used to be a good senior club hurler playing junior hurling shouting at young lads to “let it in ta fuck”
