Darren Frehill Mistake Watch

As someone said it is probably the high point of the Gaelic football season .

I often said driving on a Sunday with radio one on the car with national league games on is as good as it gets. Certainly beats watching Football anyway.

ah yeah
i dont think Darren gets on people’s nerves really- im almost disappointed if the 7-35 sportsnews comes on and you dont get a blunder, there are times when one could almost think he is making it up but his attonation would suggest otherwise
the 7-35 sportsnews is one thing tho and fine look you’ll tolerate a simpleton there for comic effect - but i agree with @farmerinthecity on sunday sport - its the national broadcaster, the least you could expect is to have a presenter with a degree of comepetency there -

it is brilliant entertainment
the GAA inter county season is done really after round 7 of the football league
nobody gives a fuck about cubs so april is this dead loss and then you have 3 months of mismatches and meaningless encounters before the all ireland semis where you might get a decent game

There’s no badness in Daz, he’s a likeable enough sort truth be told.

Very enthusiastic but just makes a hames of everything. I’d say he gets a buzz when he’s down at Tesco and someone recognises him. All those daily mistakes are forgotten about when he gets the salute from Breda and her daughter in the cold meats section.

The last day of the NFL with all the promotion and relegation permutations is top class. As @mickee321 says, I’m disappointed every day he’s on without a mistake or two thrown in.

How can we be sure this is Keem Bay?

Darren, it should be “its glory”.

Cubs? Zoos are open in April?

Just caught the end of a report by Darren there. Not sure what it was in relation to.

He was trying to pronounce ‘administrative’. He made about four unsuccessful attempts at it before he finally settled for ‘admin’.

Not so much a mistake, or Darren related, but Jackie was doing an interview with Fergal O’Brien there. Fergal was obviously struggling for coverage and bits of what he had to say were missing. They kept going with the interview. It seems that every week there is some degree of production failures on the show, shocking stuff.

Did I just hear him say that Willian is 22? Obviously meant 32 to be fair.

Spot on there, “you’d think he still has something to offer”…

Ronnie O’Sullivan had a great 13-10 victory last night in the World Cup finals, according to Darren there.

He’s keeping ye on ye’re toes in the morning anyway

He was doing great, then threw it in nonchalantly on the very last line of his report.

He made an absolute hames of pronouncing “slovenian” on the 8:35 bulletin.

I’m logging this one as an “almost”…

Darren is updating events home and abroad today and comes up with.

“For fans of Ronnie O’Sullivan you’ll be glad to hear he’s moved further ahead, the score now is 13 points to… Did I just say points, heh heh, it’s 13 frames to 9”

He’s clearly lurking here and on the Wum…

He’s definitely seen this thread. Any celeb like him would be regularly googling himself and this is one of the top results

You know you’ve made it when you’re being lambasted on TFK
