Had an extraction, two fillings and deep cleans done throughout last year. When I totted it all up it nearly came to 1,000 bucks, I nearly fell off the chair.
You might be able to claim the extraction some one else might be able to jump in on that but the fillings no, check your health insurance should cover fillings. The deep clean should only cost €15 as PRSI covers the rest, the dentist applies the discount and requests it off revenue
Has anybody invested in a water flosser?
It will change your life in ways you never thought possible. Get one, immediately.
How much would you be talking for dental implants? I need to get two over the next few years and I’ve seen €1400 quoted by a place in Dublin.
Might go back to Budapest to get it done if the cost is prohibitive here.
You should have gone over and taken in the Rovers game as well.
I was there twice already for treatment. Nice city but wouldn’t find it the friendliest place
I’d a front tooth knocked out with a hurley 25 years ago. I had it removed and replaced with an implant over past few years. Cost 4.5 k in total. Was one complication in that where the implant was going wasn’t enough bone in gum to put the post in so needed a bone graft…a 2 hour day procedure
After being through it…I’d be wary of going abroad…I had at least 20 separate visits to dentists over a few years…I have a friend a dentist’s and he felt I paid a little bit over odds but process was standard…
How’s the hair looking these days?
Dental treatment!! And they did a fine job on those teeth that needed work at the time. There were a good few extractions needed and now need to look at having some of them replaced. Have an aftercare practice in Rathgar in Dublin then for any follow up work
I have to get implants over the next year or so. 5 required in total but they’ll be a mix of implants and bridge work. Not looking forward to it.
My Mrs had two done recently. I’d say the guts of 4 or 5k. She’s made of tougher stuff than me cos it looked barbaric. Unless it was a front tooth I’d sooner have it wheeked out. Process went on for well over a year.
That’s what I found. I visited there once as they were transitioning from Communism. Came in on the train. Left the station walked across the street, sat down on a piece of grass to sort my stuff out. Looked up and there was a policeman waving a gun at me and telling me to move the fuck on. Couldn’t get out of the place quick enough.
Agreed also on Budapest.
The locals are not welcoming. No wonder every bordering country has an issue with them.
We had the opposite experience in Budapest, one of my favourite places in the world, stayed in an old Airbnb apartment of Battyany Ter for 10 nights, there were a couple of cafes and ice cream shops etc nearby where we were treated like old friends, the kids were small and there’s lovely playgrounds dotted everywhere around the city, the baths are class
I thought the people were lovely in general, I’d highly recommend it as a city to spend some time in
You just didn’t have the right attitude.
They are just fierce negative and miserable.
Should post on here
They probably are in their droves , they just dont stand out .
