John Bonham had eaten 20 bananas when he died. Though it may also have something to do with the curries pizzas and 40 units of alcohol he also consumed. Still, I’d be wary.
Pah. Lightweight.

Switching subject somewhat, I recall lapsed forum member fenwaypark (who is an accomplished runner) mentioning before that he allows himself a take-away meal once a week as reward for his training efforts/exploits. Would you go along with this school of thought? I’ve become quite the fan of Neon Asian Street Food on Camden Street and procured a very enjoyable take-away offering from there yesterday and the Sunday before.

I know this is aimed at CM but it all depends on what you are getting from said establishment. What did you order yesterday?
I ate at least 12 bananas one day while doing one of those long cycle sportif things. I farted like a motherfucker afterwards but suffered no other ill effects, and indeed went on to win my first TFK AFC astro winners medal a few days later.

I think it is essential that you reward yourself for all your hard work. As long as it is the exception and not the rule then it is fine. If you didn’t have these treats to look forward to then you’d cave- it’s the promise of reward that keeps us going.
The Runt – I had the Crispy Sweet Chilli Chicken. It was delightful. Last week I had the Beef in Oyster Sauce. Feel free to peruse the menu and confirm whether the food is healthy-ish.

What did you have to accompany it?
Crispy Chilli Chicken is generally just batter with minimal chicken, so probably one of the least “healthy” options on the menu.

I am really hoping he is not going to reply to this with “Fried rice”. There is treating yourself and then there is just being plain greedy.

Number 23 all the way!
Too hot for me, pal.
Please pick out 4 healthy-ish dishes from the menu that I can use in a squad rotation system.
One thing I should say though The Runt…fair enough Crispy Sweet Chilli Chicken may not have been the healthiest option but my daily calorie count was probably okay as the only other thing I ate yesterday was a banana at around 4pm.

Stay away from fried rice and they are all much of a muchness mate. The crispy chicken would probably be the least healthy. The important thing is portions pal-most portions from a Thai or Chinese takeaway are too big for one person so stop eating when you’ve had your fill-remember it’s not a competition to eat the whole thing. Stay away from the prawn crackers too-those things are fat filled devil food.
Correct, One portion between 2 will generally do the job. Assuming the other person shares your taste in food.
This!
It says brown rice is an option, i’d go with this first, noodle second and white steamed rice last. Stay away from fried rice. As for healthy- it’s much of a much with these places but stay away from crispy anything, get your protein as lean as possible and include a dish with plenty of veg.
I saw the the 4 chillies and didn’t even look at the rest for 23-
I’ll admit now while I am on that yesterday I had a taco chip and a 5oz burger from supermacs and followed it with 8 ferrero rochers
I’ve also eaten my packed luch already. The aim was to stop eating shite from a canteen/deli but i’ve already devoured it and i’m not satisfied- FUCK THE WORLD!
I’m fuckin starved now.
I don’t know what to do for lunch.
