Have you tried Bullet Proof Coffee yet?

Google it there…

Interesting.[/quote]
Interesting but sounds nuts. Have you tried it? I generally get a good whack of protein and fruit in at breakfast, what does this guy go on to eat during the day after nothing but buttery coffee for 6 hours?

I think its part of the intermittent fasting plan… Last meal at 8pm, have a bullet proof coffee in the morning and then don’t eat till lunchtime.

Makes a bit more sense now. Fuck it I don’t think I could do it though.

I’ve done the intermittent fasting this year for about five months 16 hours fasting and 8 hours when you can eat - eating window from 1pm to 9pm - train first thing in the morning so not ideal way of doing it - ideally your eating window opens as soons as finish training but an eating window of 8am to 4pm for me would be too hard.

If you want to drop body fat and not have to worrry about every single thing you eat then intermittent fasting works well. If you keep busy during fasting part it is easier - weekends can be harder if you are hanging around.

You can have coffee in morning but not buttery coffee and ideally no milk so an espresso or two is best for me.

It achieved what I wanted it to achieve and I have gone back to “normal” eating now and if I am honest my mood and productivity in the mornings is better than when fasting.

What was that?

drop some body fat while maintaining strength

Sorry just read up there and saw you wanted to lose weight
one way to do it without too much hardship is give the intermittent fasting a go and combine it with a walk for an hour while in the fasted state
if you can manage it go for another walk in the evening
do it for two weeks and you’ll see results
eat what you like during eating window without gorging

Lads, I have 3 pals who have taken on the appearance of heroin junkies such has been their weight loss after going on a green smoothie diet. Fruit, flaxseeds and kale or spinach with some basil or mint or whatever. They look how they did 10 years ago and they still drink pints and eat away no bother the rest of the day, with just a little bit of gym work or jogging.

Anyone try these?

I could not find an emoticon for uuughhhh so had to reply to say … uuuggghhhh

My mate is a doctor and after a few years of a fairly unhealthy lifestyle has been getting back into the gym. Mostly body building type stuff. Made a big difference but diet was holding him back so he has made a snap decision to eat nothing but meat and salad, with eggs and beans for breakfast. The weight is falling off him. Doesn’t seem the best way to go about it though. He says he’s going to keep it up til he can see abs.

What is it, one meal a day replaced with these smoothies?

its better learning how to eat properly in the long term than going on these diets that you are never going to stick to …the problem with diets is people tend to go to the other extreme when they come off them…

Not at all. Just this smoothie for breakfast and then eat sensibly for the rest of the day, but nothing ridiculously harsh. And these lads drink their pints to beat the band. And they’ve not a pick on them.

I suppose it’s a bit like how Geezer was reputed to spend €25 on fresh fruit and vegetables every two days at the height of his career.

Herbalife or something?

what colour should a healthy stool be?
i had ample time to examine my stool over the last few weeks as the water level in an American toilet is much higher then a european one, hence you dont get that splashing effect and the faceas also floats about the bowl for a bit post defaceation (sp).
mine usually is a light brown colour and usually is comprises of 3 long sausage type formations with some damage to the side ( probably from friction against the rectal sidewall)
anyone else care to comment?

Sounds like you have a protruding tumour in your rectum which is damaging your stool on one side.

You say they look like heroin junkies though. Are you saying they look bad or good??

The fact that they are floating could suggest nutrient malabsorption mate. Typically they should sink to the bottom.

Another good indicator on a healthy stool is… How many wipes to get a clean finish? Any less than 2 would suggest constipation and any more than 4 would suggest gastroenteritis.
