was thinking of mixing it with green tea, any thoughts?

brown sauce is delicious with tea apparently…

I’d say your onto something there. You need a ‘stage name’ for it though.

Immunatea?

Delish

havent done the fasting for a while mate but am starting again on Friday, will keep my forum bessiers updated
I look forward to the updates pal. I don’t use sugar in anything. Don’t eat sweets or chocolate either.
Less High GI Carbs, less carbs in general I reckon…

Anything that keeps your blood sugars fairly stable should help with concentration… Adding a spoon of ground cinnamon to your porridge in the mornings can help this.
I don’t think i eat many carbs, and generally eat fairly low GI meals. Have a pretty good diet without being spartan about it. Loads of fruit, veg and protein.

I really really hate cinnamon. It turns my stomach. Nutmeg is fine though.

I just want to be able to function at the level I’m already capable of mate. Though if you know where to land any Ritalin I’m open to giving it a go if I ever need it. Where to get it though? @Thrawneen?

Never tried it.

Someone who isn’t me can get something similar.

yeah the intermittent fasting makes you more focussed - evolution meant if you were hungry you needed to concentrate to hunt and kill an animal or you would die - threat of execution concentrates the mind and all that

you do focus and concentrate more

on finding and eating food

Probably not that helpful really but thanks all the same.

helpful answer is I have done the intermittent fasting 16 hour fast and 8 hour windwo and if you are busy it helps as you don’t think about food, hunger comes in waves and goes away but by lunchtime (16 hour fast) I was very very hungry. Didn’t think concentration or focus was better - in fact I think it adversely affects work if you are doing a “thinking” job.

That is helpful. Thanks pal. I never thought the intermittent fasting would be for me anyway, I like to eat regularly.

I would seriously recommend against fasting. I assume you are trying to lose a few kilos or something are you? The key is healthy eating bud, or just managing your portions a bit.

I think he wants to improve his mental performance and is toying with taking Ritalin

If he wants to lose weight/fat/get ripped then IF is great and works without any need to count calories/work out food macros etc if you are sensible

I’m not genuinely toying with taking Ritalin. Just want to sharpen up a bit. I’m already totally ripped.

Without checking back, I’m fairly sure all the lads who were raving about intermittent fasting here a while back, like @Mark Renton , @Kinvara’s Passion seemed to hit a slump fairly soon afterwards and have posted that their training fell away for a while.

Give Acetyl L Carnitine a go 1g in morning and 500mg in afternoon

Where’d you google that up out of cause it wasn’t your first response!?

Those boys just don’t have the sticktoitiveness to stay in shape like me, and @Bandage apparently.

Out of all supplements -amino acids seem to have an effect

@Mark Renton I’m struggling again this week. Monday a fucking hot chicken sandwich for lunch and leftover roast for dinner. Yesterday I had a southern fried chicken breast from the Superquinn deli and a little tub of their pesto pasta for lunch and a pre-made Superquinn chicken sandwich for tea which was rank. Today I had crabmeat salad on brown bread with a cup of chowder and a side salad for lunch and that fucking frozen nasi goreng from Lidl for dinner which I threw some green beans and peas into while frying it along with a splash of soy sauce.

I’m mad busy again this week so not much time but I can’t stop wanting shit food. Does everybody who live busy lives eat shit food all the time?
